It allows me to create the world I long for as a reader that no one has made yet. It makes me happy
My writing helps me channel the crazy ideas in my mind into something real and beautiful. It allows me a sort of escapism into a better world and helps me cope with anxiety and insecurity.

Yeah I agree. Writing helps me with anxiety because it offers me another world where I can channel all my emotions into my characters and focus on my own innovative plot when the world is too much.

I like writing because it helps me bring my Ideas alive, It helps with my organization and my procrastination. <:
The best part for me about writing is that it helps me express myself in a way I never could by speaking it out. Its knowing that my characters will stay with me forever and that i have a personal connection with someone of my own. But the most amazing part is making someone have a better day because of your words, and knowing that what you wrote, made someone smile when no one else could. <3
It helps me leave my own world of pain, anxiety, and drama. I escape to a world of my creation. I am proud of it and I find comfort and friendship in the characters I create.

So it makes sense that so many writers (myself included) enjoy writing because it helps us process and express our fears, joys, wants, desires, pains, etc. And in doing so, readers can relate and get to vicariously process their woes through our writing too.
Needless to say, writing is a magical act all in itself! 🥰
because it makes me feel safe. i am the one in control of the narrative, there isn’t anything uncertain, i get to choose what happens
Because I have so much imagination, so many worlds forming in my head that I’d love to share. And to help those out there, because it helped me so much to escape to other worlds and I hope to bring that same feeling.

Why? I believe one of the whys is because the author writing the book cares about their character. The writer cares about the story and that makes it matter. If you don't care about what you have written chances are that the reader won't either. Instead, ask yourself? Is that story worth my time, should I move on and find a new topic, or come back to it when I feel it matters?
Ask yourself: why does my writing matter to me? And you will begin to get more answers, weather you don't know, what to find out why it matters (that can also be a writing journey) or that you feel a deeper connection to it, or something else.
There are many things you can do to get to know your characters and story. You can create a playlist that's a theme for your book, a playlist for each character, read your writing like a theatre play, write a song for your character, draw them, create a Pinterest board, and more.
There is going to be another discussion about this, there is a lot to unpack.
There are no wrings or rights, this is simply coming from my experience as an author.
