Because of how many of us nominated TPB for the Movie OTM, I figured that we needed a thread for us to talk about one of the best movies ever! Since the invention of the movie, there have been five movies that were rated the most passionate, most pure. This one left them all behind. (In some of our opinions, at least.)

Right!? Whenever we watch it (my family), and you just watch us, you can see us all mouthing literally every single word, we've watched it so many times, lol
I got the book for Christmas because I absolutely LOVE the movie, but I haven’t gotten to reading it yet
I haven't read the book, but I have watched the movie many times. I pretty sure I'm the only one of my family who has watched it... I also quote the movie a lot.
I haven't read the book, but I own it, so when I don't ever have a book to read, I can read that....
Lol, I quote it like every day 😂🤣
Lol, I quote it like every day 😂🤣
The movie is better than the book... It's one of those really rare situations, where the movie is soooo good, that the book just can't compete. There were times that I thought I would dnf it... but I slogged through for the love of the movie. But even the ending was disappointing. The movie ending is much better.
A really good book about The Princess Bride is Cary Elwes's book about the making of the movie -
It was hilarious!

“You fell victim to one of the most classic blunders! The most famous of which is: Never getting involved in the land in Asia. Only slightly less well alone is never go in against a Sicilian, when death is on the line!” -Vizzini❤️❤️❤️
"Life is pain, highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something." - Westley~ "I’ll explain. And I’ll use small words, so that you’ll be sure to understand, you warthog-faced buffoon"
"Sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world, except for a nice M.L.T. A mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich when the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky. I love that. But that’s not what he said. He distinctly said, ‘To blave.’ And as we all know, ‘to blave’ means ‘to bluff.’ So, you’re probably playing cards and he cheated…" "Liar! Liar! Liaaaaar!"
"Get back, witch!"
"I’m not a witch, I’m your wife!”
Whenever my friends says something isn't fair, I always tell her "Who says life is fair? where's that written down?"
