In this book, Sharzhad has left the city Rey and her love, and is looking to protect him by leaving. She is also reunited with her first love and her family. She seeks advice from Musa Zaragosa to help Khalid and if there is a way to lift the curse. There are more subplots in the book and more sections told from other viewpoints.
In my opnion, the storytelling is well done, I also finished this book quickly as I was sucked in to the story. Each character seemed believable in their own right and the pacing was well done. I felt like the subplots and the desires of the other characters were woven in really well and at the right times; nothing felt too long or out of place. I did feel like the ending was, to borrow a friend's word "truncated" ( I can't find a better word!) Oh wait, I guess I could use abrupt, but truncated is better. But as a whole it was a great story and I do recommend the read again.
