Anna How were you inspired to write what you are currently writing?

message 2: by Anna (new)

Anna Oddly enough, I was inspired to write the novel I am writing from a dream I had! I know, weird! :D

message 3: by Cara (new)

Cara (sierraaubergine) thats happened a few times to me too! I'll have a dream that I later base a story off of.

What inspired me to write what I'm currently doing right now, was really just driving home one day. I was looking at the cornfeilds and a story just grew from there.

I wish I had dreams worth writing about. What was the dream?

message 8: by Jaina (new)

Jaina | 42 comments I usually forget what inspired my stories. My current story was inspired by a picture or a song. I can't remember which. :P

For this story, what part of history? From where?

message 11: by Anna (new)

Anna My dream was about how me and my family were in this community where this dictator guy sent everyone into a obstacle course and then, if you weren't out after half an hour, the obstacle course flooded and you were stuck. It was a really random dream!

I remember I wrote a book inspired by relations between the French and the Indians (native to Canada) once too. It was a pretty interesting point in history.

I just come up with cool ideas and try to write stories around them usually. I write them flying by the seat of my pants and they usually end up mostly unwritten. I also get A LOT of inspiration from all the books I read. And the movies I watch. And the people I hang out with. And the scenery around me. And TV shows. And my creative writing class.

message 27: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Awesome!!

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

I come up with my own dreams, imagination or sometimes from a real life friends or family story. I even get ideas from books. I know an author, like in real life.

message 29: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) REally cool!!

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

message 32: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) I get ideas from real life experiences. But I usually make them a little more dramatic. lol
I also get ideas from music. Just listening to words in songs. It gets your imagination rolling!

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know. I see random things and my mind wanders and makes a plot for a story. I sat in the living room and stared at the coffee table once. In five minutes (no joke) I had a full story planned out.

Literae | 5 comments Hi there!
I totally agree with the two of you, I often get my inspiration from daydreams too.

message 37: by Azbaqiyah (new)

Azbaqiyah I do dream my story too! it's always happen when I keep day dreaming about my story (right after writes it) before when to bed and amazingly it's pop up in my dreams!

The best part it, is the plot.

Long ago I had a diary which to collect all about my dreams...but I stop doing it...

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Umm... Mine is pretty weird but I thought of an idea for a. Over while I was brushing my teeth. Modified my ideas I get while I'm in bed though. I have to keep a piece of paper and a pen blue tacked to the all so I can write it all down. It it can be a bit annoying sometimes. It Ai dot. Want to forget the ideas so yeah.

message 42: by Haley (new)

Haley S (haleyjs) Still, that is cool!

message 43: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 4 comments I never really was inspired, I just have a wierd brain that likes to come up with stories. Honestly I have too many in my head to even think about writing them all down. So if anyone ever Needs Inspiration feel free to ask, I have loads of ideas I could give you.

message 44: by Anna (new)

Anna I was inspired to write a story by everything going on with Planned Parenthood. I wanted to write something showing how evil abortion is.

message 45: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 4 comments Interesting. Did anything come from this. I am also against abortion, and have marched in the march for life twice.

message 46: by Anna (new)

Anna Oh wow! That is awesome! I am currently working on a book inspired by that. :)

message 47: by TessaMarie (new)

TessaMarie Beard | 4 comments Interesting. Let me know if you ever get published I'd love to read it.

message 48: by Anna (new)

Anna Thanks! Will do!

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

I think depending on the situation of the mother, then abortion might be right in some cases (like a rape or something)

message 50: by Anna (new)

Anna Well, I think that this is very controversial! In my opinion (and this is just my opinion, not fact) abortion is wrong in every case. If you are pregnant out of that kind of situation (rape) and you don't want your baby, give it up for adoption, don't murder it.
