🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

"Jane Eyre meets Beauty and the Beast." and in a Steampunk world! How can I resist! I don't really think it's Beauty and the Beast though -the storyline just wasn't there but I can see that the male protagonist being portrayed as a 'Beast' in more ways than one so maybe a very subtle hint. The storyline lies closer with Jane Eyre with the 'haunted castle' vibe but that's really it... Anyway, I'd take it that this book inspired by these stories and while I could do with a bit more substance, it was still a lot of fun to listen to!

Maybe I listened to it too fast but I'm not quite sure about the magic or the supernatural community in this world. I'm also not sure on the vampiric characteristics here... And there are messaging machines throughout the mansion, from room to room? How strange! So I have a lot of questions but I'm ignoring those for the kind of sweet romance, if too clean, for my liking 😜
