Oops! 🙈 Missed Monday's Question of the Week due to work hustle, but fear not! Pairing it up with Well Said Wednesday, both inspired by one of our Book Club's current gems: 'The Vanishing Half'. Let's dive in!
“Sometimes who you were came down to the small things.” ― Brit Bennett, The Vanishing Half
What tiny actions do you believe define who you are as a person?
Practicing kindness and integrity. Smiling at a stranger, opening the door for someone, saying nice things to people. Keeping promises, being honest and ethical.
I don't burn bridges. Every person is in my life for a season or a reason. Just because someone's time in my life came to an end does not mean that I develop negative feelings for them. I wish them the best. If they have wronged me in some way I let karma balance the universe.
As a hospitality manager, I deal in doing little things for people everyday. It has a cumulative effect, both on my guests and on my self-esteem. Every now and again, I get to do things that SEEM big for a guest, but even those become small things as time goes on.
I get paid to make people happy--how awesome is that?
