What are some of your favorite classic books? Books that have been around for a long time and are still read and loved today?

The Narnia series!! They are all wonderful!!

Jane Eyre is quite possibly my favorite book . . . ever. ;)

It was! That's actually where they got Aladdin from, although Disney changed the story a lot. :P

I also really liked The Phantom of the Opera, The Good Earth, The Lord of the Rings, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and The Pilgrims Progress.

Little Princess! I love that book so much!!!

I've been wanting to read that one for a while! I like the movie. :)

There are sooo many movies adaptions! I have seen four, and only ome of them was corrext to the book!

I just finished Little Princess. I have only watched one version though and it was good.

I would have to say that Pride and Prejudice is an amazing book! I am reading it and it is wonderful!

I have watched both the longer version and the shorter vetsion! I like the longer one better. But if they could flip flop some characters around that would be even better!

Yeah, a combination of both the movies would make it perfect. :)

:) I personally didnt like Jane in the old one. I like her in the shorter one better!

I love Phantom of the opera!! and I tried to get through the little women but couldnt. I also love the 1,000 and 1 nights!

Okay, so I read the Count of Monte Cristo. It is good but I wouldn't say my favorite. Anyone read it?
I am also currently reading Black Beauty.
A little while ago I read the Great Gatsby? Anyone read it???? I would have to say it is one of the worst classics ever. I don't even know why they call it a classic.

I've read Black Beauty but I haven't read The Count or Great Gatsby yet. :) I was planning on starting The Count soon but it's so long!!!!
