Alright alright alright. This is a documentary, a biography, a masterpiece. This book which Matthew talks about his life, his passion, his rise to fame is a piece of art. In the beginning he talks about this being a book of guidance and he doesn't stray from that one bit. You get the feeling of life lessons learned, harsh truths, and a wisdom being passed down to all. A wisdom that both old and young, rich or poor, the every day person can learn at any time of their life.

I got a chance to listen to Matthew read this book in an audiobook. I wouldn't change it one bit. You can tell that he values what he learned, his experience, his life. He values culture and values. He values family, dreams, life. In this book he talks about the art of living. Having fun is living. Is life. Chasing dreams is living. Life is our resume and our story to tell. We make the chapters.

I feel this book is something I needed in my life right now. Don't take everything for granted. Live the life you been delt and just keep living. I feel I know Matthew McConaughey even more now and I could feel the passion, the love, everything that he has put both into this book and into his own life. It made me laugh. It made me scream Holy Shit multiple times. It made me cry. It made me smile. Life is about greenlights and chances. I highly recommend this book. It was eye opening and life changing. Here is to living.

Greenlight.
