Switzerland. We're celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in August!It's a tour called Switzerland by Train, and then we're going to Italy on our own. By train also.

. It's an early gothic novel that isn't great literature but it was entertaining-and shorter than most gothic novels.

I am only going to try to read one book in this category The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë. It is nearly 600 pages and that will be quite long enough for me this month.
*** Well, I did not read this yet. It is still on the to-read list.
I finished my challenge of two books (message 18) both were very good.

This is my retirement month. I am officially retired tomorrow. The retirement process required a surprising amount of work. As much as I would like to say that I have read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by now, that did not happen. I am going to try to find a couple of shorter works that could fit the category.
Congratulations, Lynn - have a great day tomorrow! Your book for the challenge? Ignore it! You can only retire once & it’s worth celebrating. In future you may have more time for reading, though perhaps you have retirement plans that won’t leave much time for books…

I have totally forgotten to write here that I read the chosen book for May. We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson - wow!!! I love this book so much!

So I wasn't expecting this to be so overwhelmingly good! But now I'll read more by her for sure
I never read horror or thrillers but these I read at halloween, when all groups read something spooky, I liked The Haunting of the Hill House but not more than We Have Always Lived in a Castle.
