May is going to be an easy month. Our theme is simply backlist, meaning any book that was not published this year (2024). Any previous year is fair game, so long as it meets our requirements of Historical Fiction. Additionally, if it is a part of series we must have read the first in the series as a group or it will not count.

All nominated books must be historical fiction and fit our theme. Only one nomination per person!

REMINDERS
NO SELF-NOMINATOINS -Members who self-nominate will have their post deleted and they will be removed from the group.
YOUR NOMINATION POST MUST INCLUDE: 1.) TITLE 2.) AUTHOR

ALL MEMBERS GET ONE NOMINATION AND ONE SECOND: Please make sure you are clearly marking nominations and seconds. This helps the moderators keep track of the books that will be included on the poll.

To see the complete breakdown of the nomination process and rules, this thread explains it all - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

We have read nearly 200 books as a group. Please, please, please make sure you double check the book shelf before nominating a book. https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

Additionally, while the moderators appreciate everyone in this group, we ask that you let the moderators manage the threads. Extra chatter by other people makes it difficult to keep track of which books are being nominated and seconded. We have lives off of Goodreads so we stop in when we are able. We may not check in every day but be assured we are checking in.

This thread will remain open until 4/27.
