I loved this book so much when I read it back in 2021. I recommend going into this one completely blind. Don't read too much about it, especially reviews. That's what I did, and the reading experience was so much better for it! The pacing is fantastic and had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Yes, I agree with some reviewers that Crouch's writing isn't anything amazing in this one, but it didn't matter to me or affect the story in any way. My mind was totally blown with where Crouch took this, and I loved it! This was my first book by him, and it made me want to read more, so since then I've read ten books and have enjoyed all of them. Crouch has definitely become one of my favorites. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed the pacing on this one, very easy to get sucked into the story. It’s definitely a fascinating concept of alternate realities and causality. I love how Crouch explains that to observe something is to change it and thus create a new outcome. Definitely blows my mind, but I like how this book makes it approachable for someone like me who doesn’t have a scientific background. I would love to hear what everyone else thought about this one!
I watched the first two episodes of DARK MATTER on Apple TV. Even though I've read the book and know where this is going, I still enjoyed it. Blake Crouch is executive producer and also wrote the television script, so things are very faithful to the novel so far. Still shocked by what happened at the end of Episode 2, even though I knew it was coming!
Also, here's my review. I participated in a group read of this in March . . . . . . . . . . https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished....quite a bit different than our other month's pick :)
Fast paced, easy to read, quick (finished in less than 2 days).
Really liked it. Review to follow.
