Do these protest accomplish their goals? What do you think of them? Is the police/ counter protest presence justified ?

I don't think they accomplish much becuase whatever is happening is out of our hands!

It has perplexed me because im not sure who the target it. It is a war which neither side is their country.

The target is clearly the Israeli government, and hence targetting those who support the country or even the people. Supporting Jews is nit the same as supporting the actions of the gov of israel

I know in principle that is right. But is quickly devolves into hating jews.

The are even some protestors that are pro hamas

a v a (httpswwwpinterestcomdoubleaa373) | 3 comments Obviously everything happening over there is awful, because it is a war, but personally, I don't think these protests should have become this much of an ordeal. First of all, these are just a bunch of college kids, and second of all, it has nothing to do with them. So why have they become such a "problem"? I'm not saying I'm anti-protesting or whatever, I'm just saying it's out of their hands so there's really no reason for it to go this far.

But the Vietnam War college protests had an impact and were very significant

Brandon | 2 comments I don't think they really have a sincere articulable objective. It's really just emotional catharsis and antisemitism under the guise of "anti-Zionism".

I 100% side with the counter-protestors and my local Israeli-American Council chapter. עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל חַי

Elyse | 1 comments What I've noticed is that these protests are even being joined by people who have no clue as to what is being protested. This at times is fair since these points on both sides have become a little convoluted, but I think that since a lot of these issues have become so PC in a sense protesting for a specific side is expected. Which is interesting.

If you're exclusively targeting the government, why would that necessitate the people as well? People that are genuinely critical of only Bibi & Israel's administration seem to be few and far between.

When pro-Pali rally protestors are wearing black-and-white keffiyehs while chanting to "globalize the intifada", I think that goes leagues beyond just criticizing the government. They have never proposed an alternative militaristic response for the IDF. They have never made reasonable suggestions for how Israel ought to wage war. They just expect Israel to roll over & tolerate endless barrages of rocket attacks, suicide bombers, and massacres.

Chaya & Cinnamon (chayacinnamon) | 23 comments I pray for the rest of the hostages to be rescued and for healing for everyone who has been hurt, physically and emotionally. I pray for the protection of the people of Israel. I also pray for everyone who is not following God to turn to Him. Yeshua (Jesus) is the only Way.
I pray for true shalom (peace) for all, which comes from our Creator.

Caleb Gerber. (RIP CHARLIE) | 3 comments What freaks me out is that the protests resemble Germany of the 1930s. I think there is a lot of confusion on this topic. There is no moral equivalence between Israel, a legitimate state, and Hamas, an Iran backed proxy whose sole purpose is the annihilation of the Jewish state.

The resemblance is very disturbing - same mindset and hatred that will exist until Yeshua/Jesus comes again. Until then, the level of widespread antisemitism fluctuates based on the amount and level of cowardly acceptance of such activity as well as who the haters have to help them vs good people not accepting or allowing that evil hatred to participate in criminal acts. Yes, the country of Israel has every right and obligation to defend the people.
