Thanks for the invite. We may want to go up to $20 this year. or did we already go up? Books cost more :/
But I guess it could just be up to the individual and what they feel comfortable spending.

I guess the $20 is a question for the group. It has always been $15, but you are right, book costs are rising.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? I think it would be hard to change now just because people have already signed up, but we could change the amount for next year? or just leave it to what people are comfortable with.

We did $20 last year, but not everyone can afford it, especially with prices going up and up and up.

My suggestion, keep at $15 and let the rest of us run wild 😁
The important part, however, is having a good selection of books under $5.

Few years back I had a "step" giftee with books priced $14 and up. I could only give her one, unfortunately, because I was at the end of my set budget 😔

@M’rella, I can see it both ways. $15 doesn’t buy much, but people can’t afford much.

@All I hope more people put a mix of lower and higher-priced books on their shelves, so we have the option of mixing it up. And I HOPE I get someone fun this time because it’s been a long time since I have. It really takes the fun out of spending money when people tell you, “I don’t do ebooks, I want a physical copy.”
It’s more troublesome, trying to keep your address anonymous, and frankly, not as fun.

Has anyone else felt that this exchange isn’t … all rainbows and unicorns as in years past? Idk. Can’t really feel this excitement this year. Maybe it’s me? Maybe it’s just people are just super busy with how things are right now? My person isn’t recognizing my gifts and doesn’t seem all that excited. Lol But again, maybe I’m projecting. Hope everyone is doing ok and having a good summer. *K*

I totally hear you, Kaycee. It has been a quiet one here, but it has also been absolutely crazy out in the real world. This exchange is a ray of sunshine. I love this time of year and seeing all of the generosity between everyone. Oh, and building the TBR which is already 3 mountains tall. hahaha

Hope things pick up a little and that your person accepts their gifts. If you need me to send a reminder or anything, let me know.

There’s definitely a lot of fun AFTER the signing 😂
Some groups hung out at the bar while others had dinner together, I am one of Shayla Black’s Beauties and ARC members so we met up in the lobby by the fireplace and just talked on Friday night and then on Saturday night we played a game, Romance vs. The World, which was tons of fun.

Are we doing a reveal

We can create a special folder for that.

BTW, I don't have a faintest who my Santa/Elf is 🤪
But I did leave enough clues for my giftee (I hope)

I didn't receive any clues so I have no idea 😂
