Modern Book Collecting discussion

I have a very small collection of Dan Simmons books. I have been working on this author slowly. I enjoy Dan as a reader but his books are published in such high volume that I truly find collecting his books more a labor of love, and do it because I truly enjoy most everything I have read from this author.

My collection as of now.

1. Summer Of Night - 1st/1st (signed)
2. Children Of The Night - 1st/1st (signed)
3. A Winter Haunting - 1st/1st (signed)
4. Darwin's Blade - 1st/1st (signed)
5. The Hollow Man - 1st/1st (signed)

I will try to get some photos up when I find the time.

I'm going to buy a scanner this weekend to make doing this kind of thing a bit easier. So, maybe Sunday of Monday I'll toss a couple pics up.

It's really kind of a pain in the backside posting pics to these threads.
1. scan image or take a pic
2. size image in Photoshop
3. store image at a photo hoster (photo bucket or similar)
4. copy html link and paste
5. if you don't want it linking back to your photo bucket then you have to edit the html tag

finally, you have a saved image! OMG!

I'm just saying it's a chore. You would think this site would offer an "insert image" button.

I just hooked up my new scanner last Sunday and scanned a few images from my Simmons collection. It's much easier with a scanner. More to come soon.

Joe, thanks for posting the pics. Is that proof signed? If so, that's truly a nice addition to your collection. Even if it's not signed, that's a great copy.

Kev, that ARC is signed. I didn't feel like taking pics of the sigs. maybe I will take a few if I feel up to it.
