Oooh some of my favorites fall under this category! Summer of Night by Dan Simmons - coming of age horror, kids on bikes, Stranger Things vibes. Hope Warf by Mark Towse - coming of age horror in a touristy beach town. The Forgotten Island by David Sodergren - vacation to Thailand, cosmic horror (?), horror movie vibes.

The Elementals, Michael McDowell
Diavola by jennifer Thorne a dysfunctional family takes a vacation to Italy. Slow burn horror with atmosphere and ghost

The Elementals is fantastic!
I love this category too. Usually HA does a "horror in the outdoors" type challenge in summer, but I haven't seen any rumblings yet. On my summer list is The Hollows by Mark Edwards, Camp Ghoul Mountain Part VI by Jonathan Raab, and just added Diavola.
