often these Alma Kelleher books show up as unavailable for me due to country restrictionslike this one, it looks like it's not even on sale for kindle, I can only see the paperback. And they won't sell it to me.
If she only wants Americans to read her book I will obey her wishes

Interesting - out of curiosity I googled for it and kindle version are sold in US, Can, India, Aus, and Brazil (i think). shrug.
I have an account at the US store but the kindle version is not for sale for me, not even showing up. And the paperback wouldn't be shipped here either. Weird but I guess there are too many unread books to worry overmuch about missing out on one. there's a Violet King book in this promo as well as something from a series called Love Austen by Britney Mills. The blurb didn't look very austenesque though

It’s not showing up in the Amazon UK Kindle store, either. The paperback is listed but is currently unavailable. Like you, I have an account on Amazon.com but can’t buy Kindle books from it. Even if I change my address to a US one (belonging to a friend who lives over there) Amazon.com knows, presumably from the IP address, that I’m not logging in from the US.

You can try a VPN to fix that problem, but it could also be the credit card that you have associated with your account has an out of country billing address.

Thanks, Jen. Will have to try that when I have the time. It’d be great if I could access Amazon.com to buy ebooks as I have a positive balance in my gift card account from giveaway prizes. Right now, I can’t spend it!
My credit card is out of the US but my country does not have our own kindle store and I am usually able to buy kindle books from the .com store but Alma Kelleher is a rare exception. (That I know of. I guess I wouldn't know about all the books they're not showing to me. ) I can't get Kindle unlimited But usually getting the ebook for something I saw on goodreads is not a problem, as long as I'm willing to pay for it.

(That I know o..."My bet (of $0.02 - which means nothing because Canada got rid of the penny years ago) is that it is the credit card billing address that is the blocker. bummer if so. double bummer that you don't have KU given the rate that you devour books. :(
