Here's my word for today it means boring but is in German so 'langwielig'. I have officially put my German to good use now! (I never said it had to be an English word...)

Oh why does German have to be so complicated. That's a mouthful. Love it.

My word is bemused. Most people think it means amused or interchange with that one. It actually means confused. I didn't know that when I learned it.
I totally love the word bemused! Whenever I read a book with it in, before I learnt its proper meaning I always thought it meant amused. Love it Sarah! My word for today is...wonderful. And if you bookworms and writers need a definition for that; then look it up since you should know how wonderful you all are.

I used wonderful all the time. Love it. And I find most things ARE wonderful. That's just how I live. :)

My word is hiraeth (welsh). It means a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, maybe never was, nostalgia, yearning, grief for the last places on your path.
So my word for today is 'shadows', which I guess can be descirbed as a silhoutte (sorry if I spelt it wrong).
My word is Ghost. What does that word mean to you? For me it's ethereal, otherworldly, not a scary thing at all.

Ghost and shadows. I'm seeing a pattern here. Kind of inspiring putting those two words together.
I love the metaphors related to shadows.
Carole, I don't think of ghost as scary. I agree about your definition and then also I think of "remains behind." Like "the ghost of a smile."
