Good question, I would like to know as well. Currently I announce my new releases on my blog and FaceBook. I need to know more about how to properly market my work (not my strong suit of course).
I may not be an author but I would suggest a site called Wattpad, you can publish your story chapter by chapter and receive comments and likes. This girl Beth Reekles was on their and ended up getting a 3 book contract with Random house - she's only 17! Just a thought if you want to get your work out there.

Your welcome, I'll let you know if I find anywhere else that may be of use to you or for others. ;)
I posted this under publish section but am reposting here. Hope it helps.
Really great resources for marketing books. I've used them all. Some cost and some have free options.

KindleNation (used for kindle fire promo and not great results but I know others who loved)
Midlist
Riffle
Bookgoodies
Bookoftheday.org
Awesome Gang
Choosybooks (not great results with this one, but again others have had success)
Bargain Booksy
Deal News

Awesome list Sarah, will check them out. I'm thinking maybe a book page which aggregates as many sources as possible would be nice, such as Twitter, Facebook, goodreads, Amazon , and others.
What do you guys thinks?

That's a fantastic idea. It's nice to have these resources where other people can find them.

Thanks Sarah, basically the idea is the page is for promoting your book, which will have:
- book title,
- author bio,
- book cover (ideally 3D),
- excerpts/highlights/quotes,
- social networking elements like Twitter tweets, Facebook likes and comments.
Most importantly, I think for authors, is the
- quick payment,
- pre-order,
- subscription, and etc.
And it must be mobile friendly.
How do you think?

So if this hosted on a website or on a forum like goodreads?

Also, authors pay to be on site? Is that your thought? Just trying to figure out specifics. You've given me a good outline though.

It will be on the cloud (Amazon or somewhere similar). It will be a single Web page which contains all information about your book for you to promote it, and you can share the link on Twitter, Goodreads, and other places.
Yes, the page has payment facility for authors. Quick payment means you can offer download(ebook format) as soon as you get paid online (if you don't opt Amazon KDP select exclusive program), all money goes to you.
I will set up a web page for authors fellows to subscribe to, in order to get some early feedback, so the product will be free for early subscribers.

Hi Azolla! I think this idea has some real merit. My other question is how are you drawing readers to this page? That's an important part of equation to get support of authors. There are similar sites out there, but there's always room for a new niche. So I'm wondering how yours works differently.

How do you manage to promote your book online? Do you use tools like booklaunch.io or prefer DIY using tools like Wordpress?
Look forward to hearing more options and advice.
