"we are here for Observation." Sans sighed, "if you look around you may find things that were left or hidden they allow you to keep that stuff."
"Cool! So my existence is encouraged here?" Adara asked, still smiling brightly. "That's great!" She said, not letting him answer.
"You can do whatever you'd like." He smiled "Ask me and I can give it to you" he snapped and a book appeared in his hand.
"Really! I thought you said you were human!" Adara said, "Humans aren't allowed to have magic." She said, a blank look appeared on her face, and her voice going flat.
"Wow! I've never heard of that happening before!" Adara said, eyes curious, "I have magic, too! It's really strong, and you would think that that would make my clan more keen on keeping me, but..." She trails off, staring into space.
"No. They didn't exactly like me." Adara said, almost inaudibly, "That's okay, I don't really either." She squinted at the ground slightly then gasped, "What book is that? I learned English just before I left, so maybe I can read it." She said, smiling, and stood, and peered at the book with a quizzical look on her face.
"I don't know what that means." Adara said, but took the book regardless. She opened it, and peered at the words carefully. "This may take a while." She said, "I'll study later." She placed the book beside her, "Thank you, though!"
"Oh! Okay, that makes sense! I think. Oh, well. English is such a weird language! It took an entire day and a half to learn to speak, and then another day to learn some common words, it's so bizarre!" Adara said, smiling still, "I think I like the Spirit languages better, though. No offense!"
"I'll teach you sometime! It's really pretty! The Storm Spirit language anyways! It's not spoken, it's shown and heard through thunder and lightning, but sometimes wind, but that depends on the accent." Adara continued, "Anyways, enough about me, where are you from? What's your story?" She asked, turning to Sans.
"Um, I don't know where Arizona is, but those guys sound like, um, mean word?" Adara said, unsure of any actual mean words.
"Yeah! J-erks!" Adara said, "That's so mean, though, why would they do that? Especially to you, too, you're like, the nicest person I know! And Death, I think, but it was a little hard to tell if he was nice from one tiny little conversation."
"Well that's cool! At least you have somebody on your side! Take that, betrayers!" Adara said, and then laughed.
Adara sighed happily, "So, wait, are we allowed to go outside? That's actually something that's really important. I could die if I don't go outside, like actually."
"Okay, I think that makes the cut, but barely. Oh, well, we'll see!" Adara laughed at the thought of dying.
"Oh." Adara said, surprised. "I didn't expect that. Okay! That's great! Thank you Sans!" She said smiling brighter than she had before.
"That'd probably not be a good thing." Adara remarked, "I could probably accidentally hurt someone if I started a storm in here." She was very tired, but didn't want to hurt anyone, but she didn't exactly have another way to regain energy.
"Heh, that's what I thought." Adara smiled dryly, "Ooh, can we go outside? I can show you my magic!" She said, her eyes brightening like a flash of lightning, and then they returned to dark teal.
"You can teleport too? So can I!" Adara said happily, demonstrating by teleporting around him in a circle, "My magic only works outside usually, but it's really strong! Wanna hear it?" She asked, "Well, actually, that may kill you. Nevermind. Do you want to see it?" She asked, her smile returning.
"funny thing i can't die i am technically dead." sans smiled "so i'd love to see it. and maybe i can show you some of mine."
Adara smiled, and suddenly, a huge storm cloud covered the sky as far as the eye can see, and Adara was gone. The clouds made no noise, but were slowly churning.
A gust of wind blew by Sans, and whispered, "Thanks..." the storm blackened and deepened, truly covering all light that made it through before. A blink's time later, it disappeared, and Adara was standing where she had been before, smiling up at the sky. "I can also do lightning and thunder, but it's very hard to control, and I wouldn't want to break anything." She said, flicking her tail and smiling still.
Sans Smiled "You are quite powerful." he walked a little ways away. "You wouldn't mind if i showed you mine?"
"Yes, yes, yes! I want to see your magic!" Adara said, jumping on her toes for a moment, becoming nearly as tall as him.
