I would definitely love for this next book to focus on Jasnah!
It was Kaladin in WoK, Shallan in WoR, Dalinar in Oathbringer, then it was Kaladin again and Navani in RoW. I need the next book to focus on my favorite female character in the Cosmere!
Jasnah is one of the most powerful people politically on Roshar, the only radiant surgebinder of the fourth ideal that we know of other than Kaladin, which makes her one of the most powerful people physically on Roshar! Despite all that we only get 2 pov chapters of her in RoW, and like 10 or something across the whole series which is absolutely crazy!
So I think it's time for Jasnah to take her place as a main character.
It's really hard for me to think about the book at all without thinking about the conflict that is about to take place. It's so front and centre that I can't theorize, I can't even understand my own expectations! A champion of Odium, and a champion of Honor. And the result will play a role in the future of the Cosmere. Even thinking about it is giving me chills!!
1000% agree with Jasnah being the focus… it’s crazy to me how there is still so much mystery regarding her and her experiences. It’s been hinted at so many times that she’s had a troubling past; the weird sickness she had, the years she spent in Shadesmar, her extreme animosity towards Amaram, her paranoia, etc, etc. There are so many unanswered questions!
I’d also love to see a little more into Renarin’s head this book as well, and I’d love to see the Listeners kind of find their peace and not be further involved in the war, with either the humans or odium, they’ve been through enough!!

More Renarin is also needed as he's still an enigma despite being there for a long time, the bond with the Sja-Anat's corrupted spren is also something I'm looking forward to understand more.

1. I think this book is going to be about Szeth. From the sample interludes he was sending to his mailing list, it looks like we are going to get a Szeth backstory. I'm really looking forward to this!
2. It mentioned that the champion of Odium could only be found in the Spiritual realm. Do you think that Odium could be choosing Gavilar to be his champion? He's been featured significantly for a dead character, he's literally the one who has the POV in the prologue of book 5 (per the sneak peak that Sanderson posted today), he's someone who Dalinar would have difficulty defeating, and he's definitely someone who is greedy and power hungry enough to accept Odium's power.
3. Some Jasnah POV would be nice. I enjoyed her chapters in ROW, and I think it would be great to understand her more as a character. I feel like she probably will live and continue as a major character in the second arc of SA.
4. More Adolin and Maya time! Also, I'd love to see a relationship grow between Shallan and her dead spren (Testament).
5. It will be fun to watch Kaladin and Szeth together. How will Kaladin's swearing of the 4th Ideal change his relationship with other people?
Ahhhh omg Gavilar as the champion makes too much sense, that would be such an insane turn of events! I love this theory
Something I have noticed in past SA books is that they each tend to focus more deeply on a few specific characters, diving deeper into their stories and journey.
If Wind and Truth follows a similar pattern, which characters would you like to see more in the spotlight in this book?
Also, is there anything specific you hope to see in this book? Any plots you’d like to see further explored or concluded?
Lastly, do you have any theories you’d like to discuss?
