The Challenge Factory discussion

Hi team. I'm excited to do this challenge with you. I have not done this challenge before that I can remember, but it looks like fun. The first couple of weeks are going to be very busy for me, so I would prefer to not have too much responsibility in the beginning, but I can step in if needed.

Hi all! I'm Christy and this is also my first time doing this challenge. I'm really looking forward to getting started on this challenge.

I'm currently out of town on business, but I will think on team names and check back this weekend.

Week 1's tasks have been posted in the GISH II info, rules, and tasks thread.

Here's a bit more about me. I live in Austin with my 2 small egregiously spoiled dogs, Pippa and Corbin.

I mainly read romance, currently with a tendency to read sports romances, though I'll branch out frequently.

I'm currently part of multiple challenges, and am excited to get started on this one!

Chloe, I see that a couple of your team members are missing. Feel free to send them a message. Hopefully they will check in today. If not, let me know.

Here's a bit about me. I'm Ira and I leave in Norway. My most read genres are fantasy and mysteries. I will try most books as long as they sound interesting. My least favorite genre is romance.
Are any of you interested in buddy reads? I see we can get some extra points by doing that.

Um, does anyone know what happened to Chloe? And if Chloe is really gone, your team is going to need a new Captain. Can any of you step into that role?

I meant that her account has been deleted from Goodreads. There's no remnant of her profile or comments. I was hoping that someone was friends with her and could tell us if she's okay.

Here are the instructions from the info thread:
Captain Duties:
*Captains will need to begin a thread for their team's discussion.
*Captains can assign responsibilities to team members, such as scorekeeper.
*You can have a reporting team thread if needed or wanted.
*Someone will need to make a weekly Team Completion Post and later update it with the task totals.
*Report any problems, concerns, missing players, etc. to the Moderator

My suggestion would be to look through the other teams' threads and see what that Captain has been doing. That will give you an idea of what a Captain's duties are and how others are going about it.

Hello all, I will look other these messages in a bit, and give my thoughts.

I prefer not to be Captain, but will step up if no one e else wants to. I would just need to read over rules again. I am only on mobile now, will get to laptop later.

Wow - I've never seen a profile deleted before. That is insane! It sounds like a couple of people are ready to step up. Let me know how I can pitch in.

That was weird. I can help out if you need help, but the next two weeks are very busy for me, so I am going to have periods when it may take some time before I reply. I will check in every day though. Just tell me if you need help with anything, and I will step in.

Would it help if I offered to be Captain for Team 4?

I am okay with that. I am trying to read as much as possible, but committing to being Captain is a bit much right now as I am moving.

Alright, I'm the new Captain. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that it would be easier to create a new team thread.

Could everyone please go to that thread and introduce yourself and post what book you've been reading and the task(s) that it matches?
