Arena 3
Her stylist is there, making her look pretty. She slips something around her neck and she doesn't have time to tell her no when she notices there is no harm done. It's a rope necklace and could mean a few things in the Arena. Is it a threat? Is it to kill each other with? She doesn't know. But the voice tells her to enter the glass tube and she does. Within ten seconds she is rising up and the Arena is before her. She doesn't even bother to say goodbye to her stylist; she won't miss them anyway. She knows running will help her here, but the middle of the Cornucopia is a tree. What the hell? She doesn't have time to look at other people's reactions; all she knows is that all their outfits are different colours. A quick look at hers shows that it is a stone grey and a very deserting colour. The gong sounds and Kayleigh runs - sprints - for the tree with two ropes hanging from a branch. There are plenty of weapons and Kayleigh grabs a knife, slots it into her pant belt loop. She grabs a flashlight, all the while looking for any threats. She sees a loaf of bread and takes it, shoving it in her jacket pocket, then for good measure takes another knife. There are other tributes approaching.. Kayleigh takes off, her plan of killing people dissolving in her mind. She runs towards a massive stone wall, but rests just in front of it, taking a look at her surroundings.
Dylan was satisfied with the outfit. It seemed even more reinforced when she felt the chilly breeze that was in the Arena. The necklace, though.... She wouldn't think about that. She placed one foot forward, ready to run to the Cornucopia when the cannon boomed.... Surrounding her were tall mazes, meadows, a stream, high grass, a leafy forest... The maze walls were high in the distance.
Bang.
She ran forward, fast. She scooped up a red backpack, the first she saw. She didn't check what was in it, but instead continued to grab a flashlight, and finally her eyes rested on a dart gun. Seeing no one in her vacinity, she grabbed it. On a whim she grabbed to red scarf, who knew what she'd face. She shoved it into her bag as she scanned the Cornucopia contents. She grabbed a plastic 16oz bottle of water, and hoped there would be more in the bag. A bottle of... pills? She didn't know, but it looked important. And lastly, a pack of matches, a tin of broth, and a loaf of bread.
She ran, fast, towards the edge of the woods, and gazed back to remember her partners. She would have to stay and fight, then. She couldn't book it.

"Just don't do anything stupid." Lence's stylist warned, helping him zip up the sea green jacket. "I really hope to see you back here one day. You would make a great designer." Lence smiled, staying silent. He was more nervous than he had ever been in his entire life, and it was so much worse without having any makeup ofbany sort on. His hair had been dyed the night before to a very deep brown, almost black. He doubted any of the tributes would recognize him. Hopefully only the friendly ones would. Stepping into the large, clear tube, Lence closed his eyes taking deep breaths. Now was not the time to begin panicking. Regardless, he shrieked in surprise as he began the ascent. This was it... he closed his eyeş again, listening to the countdown.
"Oh, god." He whispered before opening his eyes. One more deep breath.
24, 23, 22, 21...
He should probably see what he was dealing with now.
The first thing Lence saw was a massive tree, and then the things underneath it. The cornucopia. He then took the time to glance around at his fellow tributes, seeking out the few he decided to ally with. There was Arabella... she got a good score. He just hoped she would make it through the bloodbath.
And that's when the buzzer went off, and commotion ensued. Lence launched himself off of the podium and made a beeline to the giant tree. First, a weapon. And then supplies. Hopefully. He reached the edge of the tree as one of the first people. Maybe the fifth. He suddenly heard the sound of somebody pursuing him and,Without thinking much about it, he snatched a sword and spun around. Blood spurted from the rather young tribute's face, and they fell to the ground. "Idiot," Lence said, masking the tremor in his voice.
Keeping an eye out for any more enemies, he picked up a green backpack and slung it over his shoulder. Then as he ran away, he grabbed a set of bows and arrows. A moment of opportunity.
The Arena is massive.. Sam's stylist has done a great job with the fiery red costume. It's such a lovely colour. As soon as the gong sounds, Sam notices three other tributes run towards the the Cornucopia. He ran, too, noticing tall walls - mazes? -, meadows, streams, tall grass and a leafy forest. The Gamemakers had surely gone all out on the Arena this year. From a distance away, Sam noticed a bow and a quiver of what looked like twelve arrows. He slung a bow over his shoulder along with the quiver, then looked to see what else he could get. He knew he shouldn't take long but he couldn't help but see what there was. He took one of the blankets, which looked big enough to fit him in, and if the night was any worse than the temperature now, he'd freeze without one. He also grabbed a tin of what looked like chicken broth, a sack of apples and a flashlight. He knew he couldn't waste the batteries, otherwise he'd be screwed. A figure in the distance was running away and he knew he had to do the same as well. He headed in the opposite direction, towards the trees, hoping he could find cover within the leaves, or at least climb high enough so he could see everything. Then he saw another tribute, what was his name? Lence? He'd just killed someone. Sam took in a shaky breath and slowed his walking, making sure he wasn't spotted by him.
Tempest walked into the small room where her stylist was to dress her. She had her head held high, her chin jutting out with confidence. Her stylist quickly got to dressing her but she payed hardly any attention to what he did. She stared blankly at the tube where she was to step into. Her eyes beat in her chest with rapid speed. Much to her annoyance, she was scared for the imminent death that she was walking into. But she had promised herself she would fight until the end of the line, and she would do whatever she could to win, or at least try to. She sucked in a breath, held it and blew it out just as a mechanical voice said: “15 seconds to ascension.” Ess pursed her lips, turning to Jem, her stylist. “Thanks.” She forced out of her mouth, wanting him to know she did appreciate what he had done. “Your very welcome my dear, I’ll be betting on you! Don’t let me down because I don’t waste my money on just anyone.” Tempest let a smile slip onto her lips as she turned to step onto her plate. She gave Jem a little wave as the glass closed around her. He said something but she didn’t catch it and soon than later, she was being lifted into the Arena. Her fists clenched with nervousness, and someone how there just wasn’t enough air in her tube. She began to take in quick, sharp breaths until the tube opened up and she was out. Her eyes scanned the Arena, but her main focus was the Cornucopia. Her eyes narrowed in search of an ax and just as the numbers began to count down, her eyes quickly searched for Ernest, hoping to find him and then Dylan and Sage, whom she hoped to ally with. The gong sounded and Tempest sprang from her plate, dashing towards the weapons, she quickly searched the weapons and supplies to grab and ax, and a purple(#2) backpack. She also grabbed gauze and a flare. She whirled around to see Ernest, her ax already out. She didn’t lower it for fear that someone else would come and attack. “Let’s go.” Was all she said, her eyes scanning for her allies.
The scowl was present across of his lips nearly as soon as he was pushed inside the tube that would raise him off of the underground chamber and up into the actual arena. He was trembling slightly out of fear of finally confronting the place he held in his nightmares. This place may as well be the area where his dead body would lay still and a hovercraft would come to pick him off of whatever terrain the deranged Gamemakers had decided on this year. His arms were stiff inside of his jacket, finding himself not really complaining about this year's arena clothing. He was dressed for cooler weather with fitted black pants and warm socks tucked into black combat boots with silver laces. They weren't quite as stiff around his feet so he was hoping that they wouldn't be an obstacle in running. On his torso, he was dressed in a forest green tank top, a cream colored shirt, and a white jacket dressed with linings of more green. His hand pressed against the tube's glass, surprised to find that his wrist had a paracord bracelet with a nice, little compass in the center. He hadn't expected the Gamemakers to be nice in leading the tributes in any specific direction. Perhaps this wouldn't be as horrible as he had imagined.A sudden breeze hit him as soon as he had rose from the underground chamber out into the open ground. His first instinct was to stand stock still as the cool hair brushed across of his face. He shivered, glaring around his specific area, searching the scene before him. The entire arena was incredible! He could clearly see the bright sky, clear as day with fluffy, white clouds spotting here and there. Fresh grass layered the ground, looking as natural out in the forest at District Seven. He spotted a similar forest onto his left and on the right was a wide meadow with what he assumed was a stream running across of it. In front of him was what he assumed would be the Cornucopia with all the materials the tributes would battle to get. It was a large tree with weapons, bags, and other materials scattered around its trunk. His brain pounded loudly in his brain as he realized that two ropes with loops were tied around the branches of the tree. He realized what they were instantly, recognizing them as nooses used for ending a life. He swallowed, feeling the thick white rope necklace around his neck press against his skin. He now knew exactly what the purpose of all of this rope was for...
He immediately spotted the large walls of a barrier further behind. It seemed well enough to be far away from tributes to escape whatever torture the tributes that remained would give him. He planned it then and there. He would book it towards the outer ring as soon as he was able to grab a backpack and weapon from the Cornucopia. Samuel hadn't even had the moment to realize the gong had sounded when his ears popped from the sound. With a gasp, he flung himself off of his plate and rushed forward, speeding towards the trunk with his arms flailing by his side. Making up for the time he had missed with the gong, his speed let the pieces rest. Panting when he grew closer to the trunk, his eyes widened as he spotted other tributes. He had to be quick and get away from harms way as soon as possible. His hand flung forward and snatched up a purple backpack around his shoulders with the number one on it and a long sword that had its hilt dug into the grass. Leaning forward, he shoved a tin of chicken broth into his bag as well as a bottle of pills. With one hand free, he picked up what appeared to be a medical kit scattered in the nearby items before making another run for it. He quickly evaded the path of another tribute as they lagged behind to reach the Cornucopia and forced his feet to speed towards the outer ring.
Kandy hopped off her plate at the first sound of the gong. Quick, she ran towards the Cornucopia, hair flying behind her. She was talking to herself, "Quick, quick, quick, quickly, oh -so quickly..." Her eyes widened when a knife missed her by an inch. She ran, faster. She wasn't a Career, and her mentor had told absolutely do not go the the Bloodbath. But she didn't care. Not much, anyways.
She grabbed what she saw in front of her, one thing, and then grabbed a pack of jerky, and then a small plastic 16oz bottle of water. What she had picked up was a blow torch. She smiled to herself, and ran into the leafy forest. She just kept running. She packed the jerky and water in her jacket pocket, and held the heavy blowtorch. Let the Games begin...

The Gamemakers subtly reminded everyone that the Stylists did not design the costume. Thank you.
Lol, sorry, I had to.

Bolt sauntered into the small room with his tube. He spun around, his face brightening with what looked like excitement. “Get me ready to win.” He said rather extravagantly to his stylist. She quickly scurried to get his outfit for the Arena. But his mind was suddenly somewhere else when she helped him dress. His mind wandered to Naomiee, assuming the girl would want to “ally” with him to keep an eye on him and to ensure she kill him when she saw fit. This did make him queasy but he also thought having her as an ally could be beneficial to him. And what she didn’t know yet was that he had plans. Soon enough, he was dressed but he hardly paid attention to his getup, his mind now reeling towards Arena possibilities. Would they burn under a desert sun? Freeze in the mountains? Be hunted in a forest? He was still thinking of possibilities as his stylist pushed him gently towards his tube. He hadn’t even heard the counting down to ascension. He stepped inside and blew a kiss to his stylist, and then he was already moving upwards. He didn’t feel fear yet, all he felt was determination. He was determined to show his family that he could win this, he would show them. He was brought up into a vast Arena, but he didn't look around long as the gong went off and he sprinted towards the supplies. He grabbed a red backpack as well as some wire, thinking it would come in handy. He quickly searched for a weapon and found a sword. He grabbed it and scrambled to pick up some things next to it: night vision goggles and ran, hoping to disappear before anyone could try to kill him.
((Okay, I'm just going to list what Samuel took to make it easier for you, Julane: black backpack, one tin of chicken brother, pill bottle, a sword, and a medical kit.))
A tree. Amazing. Tessa ran off of her plate, sprinting but some people beat her there. She wanted so much from the full Cornucopia, but knew she couldn't have anything. Stopping at the mouth, she knew she didn't have time to waste and only stopped to pick up Purple Backpack #3 and a metal slingshot with 20 pellets. Tessa was good at slingshots, she personally thought. Quickly she scampered away, doing her very best to avoid the bloodbath. She caught sight of Arabella- her friend, she thought- and chased after her.
Anyone after message 8 did not get a black backpack, I am sorry, we are of short supply, thank you.

Thank you.
Thank you.
((Wait Diana, Kayleigh and Ernest took the two black backpacks..?And Kayleigh took: 2 throwing knives, black backpack, a flashlight and a loaf of bread.
Sam took: 1 bow and twelve arrows, 1 blanket, sack of apples, chicken broth and flashlight))
Don't worry, Mel, I've caught up with who has what, :)
Kayleigh, and Ernest got the two black backpacks.

((Tempest: purple backpack #2?, ax, gauze, and a flareBolt: Sword, red backpack, cylinder of wire, and night vision goggles))
Run run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man.. The bread wasn't poisonous; Kayleigh had stuck her knife in then pulled it back out and nothing looked peculiar to her. She could already see a massive group forming and she knew that their alliance was made in the Training Center. They must trust each other in order to have not killed anyone yet. She sighed, knowing that the sooner she did kill someone, the less tributes there would be, which would maker her experience a lot easier. Taking hold of one of the knives, she shuddered and zipped up her jacket. It was already cold even though it was probably early in the morning, or nearing afternoon.
Sorry, Emily and Diana, you did not get a black bag, but hurry now and you can get a green, red, or purple. :)
Sage's hair was tied back in the tightest bun he could handle. It was already giving him a headache, but pushed the thought away, allowing the stylist to strap on what looked like a watch. Compass? He was determined. He was also very scared, but he knew that wouldn't be able to stop him. Rising upwards, Sage surveyed what was around him, and took note of the weather. The cold might hinder him, as One wasn't exactly the chilliest place.
After the gong went off, Sage stayed in place. Everybody ran like hell to the tree which obviously held supplies, but he figured being a little bit behind wouldn't hurt. Half of tje tributes were there before he started running, and by the time he reached it all of them were gone. Just the slower ones were there. Sage watched as his twin ran off, then seemingly changed her mind. Ignoring her for the moment, he tried finding useful things they would need. A large backpack, labeled with the number 1. Was it supposed to belong to his distrist? Two knives, a rather small bottle, and a huge wooden staff that he figured would suffice as a weapon. Sage didn't like cutting people. Thinking for a moment, Sage grabbed a first aid kit, box of matches, and beef jerky. It was too easy. With everything in his arms, Sage glanced around him before setting off to Dylan. He reached her and another tribute quickly, thanks to his long legs, and almost tripped as he met them. "Dammit. Help me out here!"
[ Spring took the Poison Kit ]
Don't be greedy, Spring told herself as she arrived at the mouth of the Cornucopia. She decided that because she had excellent survival skills all she would need was some poison. She grabbed the kit for that and hurtled out of there, running into a random direction of the leafy forest. She knew what she was doing, Spring kept telling herself as she took faster and faster steps.
(@Sora, you can pick #2 or #1, Aliya took #3)

Dylan didn't even consider hurting the little girl, Arabella. Instead, Dylan ran away, so as not to have to make a decision. She turned to Ernest. "We have to wait for him," she almost begged. She wished he would hurry. So she ran to him. "Sage, c'mon, let's get out of here. Ernest a Tempest are there..." She indicated in the general vicinity of the two, and grabbed Sage's free hand (the other was gripping a wooden staff...) She hoped he was following behind her.

((Okay. Time for some Gamemaker magic now...))
"Yes!" Tessa exclaimed following Arabella. She ran fast and hard, feeling every bump of the ground go through to her feet and yet felt as though she was flying because of the speed. Catching up to Arabella, Tessa grabbed her hand so that they wouldn't be separated again. She looked back to make sure that Dylan or the Careers weren't following them and was relieved to see that they weren't. "It okay-- they aren't following us!"
The Gamemakers laughed. WITH MIRTH. Anyways, they laughed at those black bags. Sure, they were loaded with goodies. But they did seem a little too good to be true, hm? So they had tricked 'em. They would still get the items in it, but the outside of the bag contained a poison. It wouldn't hurt the bag's contents, but would kill if ingested. It was all over Kaleigh and Ernest's hands. If they accidentally touched their mouths.... When on skin, the two tributes were probably currently feeling a mild itching sensation. They might smell the poison, and wash it off though. If they did so soon, they would get off with slightly blistered itchy fingers, that would make it very hard to hold weapons for a bit.
✧☤DIΛΠΛ☤✧ wrote: "((Oh, sorry! She can come, but the reaction won't be nice at first.))"The District Two girl was already fed up of no action going on near her. The maze walls looked like a great adventure and she knew she had to explore them soon, even if she did get lost in them. After being in the Training Center, Kayleigh knew she had no allies and therefore set out to find some. There was a tribute that had arrived late in the Training Center, and she reckoned she saw him a few miles away, so setting off at a jog, the knife gripped in her hand, Kayleigh went towards the shadow. As she got closer, she knew it was him - Jason, Smith, whatever - and she slowed to a walk, her mind still conscious of her surroundings. Then the Devils' House broke loose. Her hands suddenly became very itchy, and Kayleigh stopped in her tracks to see quite a few blisters. She rolled her eyes, knowing that it was just a trick by the Gamemakers, but it was very annoying. She bit her lip and told herself to keep her hands by her sides, but the knife was slipping out of her grip.. She had the idea of looking through her bag to find water, but reckoned that the best thing to do was to wait for them to dry up and then pop them. Disgusting, yes, but better in the long-run.
((OH JULANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :( And can you put your plans in brackets please? I keep thinking it's your character thinking xD ))
((Whoops, I'm sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!))

After a long goodbye to your mentor and escort, and a curt nod to your district partner, you are whisked into a hovercraft, and then to the catacombs of an Arena. You sip some water, and try to control the flushes of adrenaline. Your stylist helps you dress in your outfit: undergarments, a district color tank top, a soft cream colored shirt, black pants, white socks, black combat boots with silver laces, good for running too, a white jacket accented with your district’s complementary color, and, to your surprise, a stretchy paracord bracelet around your wrist with a compass on it. The defining piece, though, is a white rope necklace around your throat. When unraveled, you will find that the rope is the perfect length for a noose...

You say one last goodbye, and rise up into the air.
The arena doesn’t seem too bad. The sky is bright blue with fluffy white clouds, and the grass is green. On one side is a leafy forest, another a hilly field of tall grasses, and last a meadow with a stream running through it. The 24 tributes surround the Cornucopia, which is a tree. Scattered around the tall, leafy tree are flashlights, lots of rope, varied weapons, some backpacks, torches, flares, etc. The air feels chilly with a breeze, and you understand the warm layers of your tribute outfit now. A shudder runs through your body when you realize that hanging from the trees branches are two nooses.
The Arena is a psychological thriller.
The Arena is made up of two rings; an inner one and an outer one. The inner has the biomes listed above, but is tiny. Mostly just to trick the tributes. The outer ring is completely maze. Huge, dark mazes, hundreds of feet high, where mutts lurk around every corner. Choose to stay in the center of the Arena, and risk easy confrontation, as well as mutts that mess with your mind. These include Tracker Jackers, Jabberjays, wolves that look half canine, half like someone you love, voices that sing every night, and many more. And, to top it all off, right, in the very center of the inner ring, is a hanging tree, which is where all of the supplies are surrounding. This seems to be why there is such an excessive amount of rope in the Cornucopia supplies. Go to the outer maze, and find yourself easily get lost, darkness, and predators, but weapons hidden in different spots. The Arena is freezing at night, and cold in the day. The water is drinkable, but very, very cold. The temptation to get out of the Hell is too much. The rope necklace around your neck might suddenly feel too tight...
