All books count for page count even if they don't fit the spell out or mini challenge
Checking in as well! I think I need to go reread the rules ;-) not exactly sure when we start and all that.
I have a quick question are you guys just setting up a shelf, or are you already putting books on it?? I think this is a spell it out challenge and more, I read most of the rules, but I'm still not 100% sure on everything :-) I guess I will learn as I go! . If any of you guys have more of an idea at all this than me please feel free to let me know :-)
I just made a blank shelf for now. I'm not 100% of all the deets either...guess we'll all learn together lol :)
Because it said we spell out Motherhood, I've put some books that would work for that on my shelf. I thought I could always remove them if that's not what we're doing.
I think that is what we are doing, and I think we are doing something else as well. Not quite sure though, so don't quote me on that :-) I think I read somewhere that we get 100 points every time we spell the word out?? But I think we are supposed to get to 20,000 points so that has to be something else to it.
Hi all. Checking in as well. Any idea on how the spell out works? Do we each take a different letter making it a collective effort?
What my team is doing for Wheelathon is listing all the letters that are in the book we are reading.
I think, The best way to do it is just list all the letters your book can count for, and go from there :-) we probably all read a different amount of books and at different rates, does that make any sense?
I think there are points for page count and if we read a book said in Egypt?? That is my interpretation of the rules anyways :-) i'm assuming the books can't be read until May 3, I believe that is the start date.

You are right about the start date and page count. But if you read a book set in Egypt it would only work for the 50 points is if the Egyptian Gods play a major role.

Hi chicas!!! This should be fun and I'm sure we can figure out a bunch of books that will work before next month!
Egyptian Gods, I can honestly say I have never read or heard of any books on that subject, but I am sure they are out there :-) looking forward to working with all you all and getting to know all of you better :-)
Hi guys, Im checking in also. Loooking forwards to starting another challenge! Also not sure about all the rules, either especially how we pick our books. I understand we have to spell out the word but not sure if we have to pick a letter each or pick multiple? I am sure it will all become apparent when we start.
I'm thinking this is one of those learn as you go things, I think you read whatever, hope letters fit :-) and then if it's about Egyptian gods you get bonus points :-) not sure though.
I'll be the first one to really introduce myself to you all. I am 45 and the mother of three children 18, 17, and 12, boy, girl, boy. I live in Southern California. I love to read, workout, socialize, shop, and eat, I currently learned I am addicted to team challenges :-) I'm thinking this will be a fun one!
Guess I'll introduce myself too, I know a few of you already :)I live in Texas out in the middle of nowhere. I'm married and the mother to 3 minions. My oldest just got married earlier this year and is now living out in N. California where her hubby's family is :(
We have 2 boys at home, 15 & 10. I'm a team challenge junkie too! This makes the 5th one I'm doing ATM.
I'm not sure on the rules yet either, but I'm sure we'll have fun learning them! I also live in SoCal, divorced, my dogs are my kids and I love spending time with them and reading when I'm not working. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
I am 34 from the UK live with my hubby and 2 cats. I am a total bookworm and a sucker for a challenge as some of you will already know :)My favourite genre is romance wether it be paranormal, historical or contemporary and my soft spot is a highlander. Looking forwards to playing along side of you all.
Y'all are so honest with your ages lol! I lie about mine so much half the time I really have to think about what age I really am....
Okay! I set up a shelf and put one book on it, it just so happens the book I'm reading for book club in May starts with the letter O , It is named Egyptian God, I actually have no clue how to link it, so if someone can do that for me I give you permission :-) LOL about the age thing, I forget my actual age all the time ;-)
Hey everyone, I'm 24 from New Jersey and I've only done 1 team challenge before which was about a year ago so I'm excited to do another one. I've recently watched a lecture series on Ancient Egypt so I'm excited to do a challenge with that theme. My favorite genre is non-fiction (history and true-crime mainly) and horror. I work at a library so I tend to read other genres that I happen to come across while working.
Looking forward to playing this challenge and getting to know everyone!

Hi. Nice to meet everyone. I am 52 yrs. I am retired and live in So. California. I have 2 kids, 9 grand kids and one on the way. Fairly new to these group challenges but looking to it. I also have 4 dogs that make me crazy.
Hi, everyone!I'm teresa. I live in Texas with my husband and son and our 3 black cats. I work in retail so my GR hours are all over the place.
Favorite genres include: Mystery/thrillers, contemporary YA, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, non-fiction microhistories, biographies and general fiction. I'll read others but those are the ones I read most.
Can't wait to see what this god vs god battle has in store for us!! LIke others here, I'm addicted to team challenges.
My shelf: egyptianlc
What part of Texas are you from if you don't mind me asking?I'm in east Texas between Palestine and Tyler in the middle of BFE lol.
Hi everyone! I think I'm the oldest in the group. I am a very young 64...I work from home, married and have 3 grown sons. I love every kind of romance; contemporary, historical, erotica, romantic/suspense (PNR not too much). I live in Illinois.I was in a Wheelathon previously and it was great fun!
I live in Central Texas, between Austin and Waco. I'm a transplant originally from Michigan. I've been here for about 10 years, I guess. Lived here a year, moved, came back about 9 years ago. I have a friend in Tyler so I sort of know where you are from looking at a map trying to figure out where she lives.
My lil sis is in Austin. Love it there but could never live there lol.Karen I read a lot of romance but mostly PNR. Every now and then a historical.
I think the only other state I could live in besides California is Texas. I like romance as well, I've been reading a lot of YA lately I think because I have teenagers. I just recently started reading more fantasy and science-fiction, I'm pretty much open to anything, not crazy about nonfiction though. . Anybody have any book ideas yet for Egyptian Gods?
My shelf is named Egyptian Gods, not sure how to link it sorry if someone can do that that would be fabulous :-)
Egyptian Mythology Books I found these on Listopia for our extra points not sure how many we can use!
Good morning!! I just wanted to send a quick note to say that for the next week I'll have limited time to post - I do taxes and we're at crunch time for the next 6 days! After that I'll have plenty of free time. I'll pop in when I can until then, but didn't want you all to think I was MIA.Hey Jade - can you pm me instructions to link my shelf? I've done it before, but can't remember how and can't find the instructions I used. Thanks!!
