Book of Night discussion

Does anyone think that the sequel is such a long time coming because the first book didn’t do well? The average GR rating is 3.5 - ouch/yikes. She could have easily published the second book between the CP spinoff duology and instead now has a huge gap between these two instead. I hope she’s used this time to really consider the criticisms of the first book so that the second is a lot better…

Unfair considering the first book never really warps up but kind of just pushes you into the next book that doesn’t exist…
