Classics and the Western Canon discussion

Some obvious omissions:
Rudyard Kipling, Sherwood Anderson, John Galsworthy, Isaac Singer, Isak Dinesen, John M. Synge.

Kenneth Rexroth's Classics Revisited also has some authors/works from this period. The ones not already mentioned are:
W.N.P. Barbellion, The Journal of a Disappointed Man
Alexander Berkman, Prison Memoirs of an Anarchist
H.G. Wells
Ford Madox Ford, Parade’s End
William Butler Yeats, Plays
Herbert Read, The Green Child
William Carlos Williams, Poems

Ford Madox Ford and Yeats strike me as such towering talents, I can't understand why I didn't think of them myself.
