I am excited to jump into this challenge. I haven’t read Withering Heights yet so I will order a copy or 🤔 maybe I should ask my daughter first 😆
This is a fantastic book. Can’t wait to read again, and to read what all of you have to write about this book. Looking forward to the comments.
Big news in the world of Wuthering Heights! Emerald Fennell has announced she'll be directing a new movie adaptation!
Have you guys finished Wuthering Heights? I’m halfway through only. English is my second language and I didn’t realize this book was a classic. I’m reading it and researching it online a lot. The characters all seem so extremely violent! I can’t picture Heathcliff as a good guy in any way, but a lot of online articles say he’s the hero of the story. How do you all feel about this story?
I started it earlier this year and did not finish yet - I was reading it while laying in bed but realized I can’t do that haha. I was having a hard time keeping all of the characters straight! I will have to pick it back up but I remember feeling the same way about heathcliff. Here’s hoping he goes through some major character development.
Read it years ago. It made an impression.I'd say Heathcliffe is a romantic hero, but not in the modern sense of being morally superior. He wants to be good enough for Cathy, but he just can't help himself.
I finished it!I can see why it’s a classic. I got really into the story, the more I read. Despite the characters being so warped.
Thanks Madison and Alia for your replies! @Madison: yeah, I had a hard time with the characters at first too! I looked up the character’s family tree online to help me keep them differentiated. @Alia: good point. I see what you mean. I did read those book analyses with a narrow idea of what a hero can and can’t be.

I hope everyone has a copy of the book to read.
Happy Reading!
