I work at a school library in Canada. I'm constantly looking for suggestions as to good books to put into our library. The suggestions should have little or no swearing, bedroom scenes, violence, etc. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Do you have The Book Thief, Warning's Wane, Turning Point, A Bend in the River, Train to Pakistan, India, Bharat and Pakistan: The Constitutional Journey of a Sandwiched Civilisation? Also, Check other books by these all authors to keep there.
Here are a few I would suggest reviewing for the middle-grade readers:"New Kid" series by Jerry Craft
"Jack the Bad Crow" series by Holly Jo Flora
"Colby's Adventures" series by Shanley Mahsay
"The Ghostly Adventures of Jamie O'Hare" by C. Wade Jacobs
"Winterhouse" series by Ben Guterson

I really appreciate Shanley's work here. I'm not familiar with others as of now but "Colby's Adventures" series by Shanley Mahsay was so soothing, specially for children.

Every month, we recommend favorite titles that we've recently read. I recommend scrolling through the "The best book I read in ..." thread under the Currently Reading header. It's a good place to start.

Just wanted to share something personal.Sugar KingdomMy son is 13, and he recently wrote his first book for kids his age and younger.
The idea actually won first place in a kids’ writing competition, and after that we decided to turn it into a real book and publish it.
If anyone’s curious, you can read the first chapter on Amazon before deciding if it’s something your kids might enjoy.
It’s a story written by a kid, for kids — and we have good feetback from kids from school now, we donated book for some schools.
Wow! That's amazing. You must be so proud! I wish him the best. Hopefully, he will have a long writing career ahead of him if he so wishes. Where is it available?
concerning great MG choices, I would add a few that I found creative, humorous, sensitive and appropriate! 1. Aru Shah and the End of Time, by Roshani Chokshi
2. The Girl Who Drank the Moon, by Kelly Barnhill
3. Because of Winn-Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo (and all her books)
4. Wish, by Barbara O'Connor
5. Pax, by Sara Pennypacker
