Please feel free to ask any questions you may having regarding this task here. Also, once you have chosen a book you may post it here and any expectations you have for the book. Remember to let us know once you have finished the book here as well! Have fun reading and let me know if you think there is anything missing with this task.
I'm not positive what I'm going to read yet but here are some books I'm considering... Me, the Missing, and the Dead
Once Dead, Twice Shy
Generation Dead
I believe both of those series are classified as adult. However, if your library or nearby bookstore classifies them as Young Adult, then that would be fine. I really want to read both of those series as well.
Mazmum, that one would be okay. That's another series I want to read! I think my TBR wish list is a bit too long. :)
The Dead Until Dark series is an adult series I'm pretty sure. I've read them, and there's quite a bit of sex. If you've seen the show TrueBlood, you'll get the idea.
Thank you Angela. I haven't seen the show, but I was thinking about netflixing it. :D
Yes, that's exactly it. Every month we will have a new task for one book for that month and will be ongoing so anyone can join in whenever they have time. If you decide to read a book that fits one month and not the next, that's fine too. :)
Oh, geez... I gotta start checking the main threads more often... I keep missing stuff! Hmmm... what to read.... EDIT: Do the words "die"/"death"/"dead" need to be exactly that? What about words like "dies" or a book like Inkdeath? Just curious....

Those would all be fine. As long as it includes the word. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would also be accepted.

Angela, I don't have a minimum number of pages for the ongoing challenges. I will add this to my rules page! :)
Nice one Jo! I will add you to my spreadsheet and update the scoreboard on the other thread! :)
It is long. Good luck with it! :)
I finished Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke yesterday. It was LONG. Good, but LONG. I really liked how it ended... although she kept the ending WIDE OPEN for a spin-off series, didn't she? ;)
Good job Sara, I have that series to read at home, but the size does intimidate me somewhat. I will add your name to our scoreboard on the other thread.
Yeah, I don't know if I would have read them if they weren't in audio format... They're quite quite fat books...
Audio books huh? For awhile I was reading a lot of books that way because my library has a way to download audiobooks to ipod for the 2 week period you would normally check out the book, but then my ipod stopped working. :( I enjoyed audiobooks because my desk job allows me to listen to books while I am working so that was nice.
Yeah, that would be really nice—listening at work. I put them on my Zune and listen as I cook and clean around the house... And I have a cassette tape-to-portable CD player converter for my car; those work with mp3 players, too.
I love audio books. I borrow the CDs from my public library then put them on my mp3 player and listen to thrm while I drive- it really makes commuting pleasant :)
Awesome Kellee. I will add those points to the scoreboard.
*Psst... your list looks lovely with bold and underline ;D

Sara, This is the second one of her's that I have read and I really think that they have such a great character's voice. Also, my students easily connect with her books. They are also pretty quick reads because they are books in verse.
Agreed. I've read her 4 YA books, and I love the poetry! What My Mother Doesn't Know is my favorite.

I like the ongoing challenge, because it helps me narrow down the books I want to read. Sometimes the list of books I want to read is so overwhelming, that it is helpful to have a topic or theme to narrow it down :D
Kellee, I am glad you are enjoying it! :)
