I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogel - 3* - My Review

I have never followed Anne Bogel’s podcast or blog, but I generally enjoy books about books, and this one is about the love of reading. It is a light-hearted memoir told in a series of essays. Essentially, it gives readers “permission” to read what they like without feeling guilt or pressure. The author tells her personal history, how she became an avid reader, and how her interests have changed over the years. She recommends keeping track of books over time. There are plenty of literary references, and I found a few books I may read. It is not intended to be super serious. It’s short and pleasant.
