Kay | 2 comments Hi everyone! Recently finished my Masters and am wanting to read books again. Finished 30 in the past 3/4 months (which I was surprised about myself, honestly).

Interested particularly in sci-fi/fantasy/romance/adult/new adult and maybe some young adult (or any combination of those above). I do love paranormal, urban fantasy, and historical as well!

That being said, I have a few squicks:

Religious fiction (the story can mention it, but no church scenes or anything of that nature)

Parental abuse (not interested in reading about bad parents, it can be mentioned, but no details)

Cheating (absolutely will not read on page cheating, mentioned is sometimes okay if it happened before the story started)
*************
I’m also not particularly interested in contemporary romance at this time, unless it has a genre or sub-genre I like mixed in. Plain contemporary romance is not something I can commit to reading more than 50-100 pages of (and even that takes a while).
*************
My Masters is in Biomedical Science, so if you’re looking for someone to check your medical/biology/chemistry/biochemistry/microbiology/pharmacology/anatomy/physiology content I am more than happy to just review those sections if needed.

I really love worldbuilding! It’s one of my favorite parts of books as a reader.

I read all of the Outlander books (except for the newest one because of Grad School) so 600-800 page books don’t scare me. I’ll read novellas as well.

✨✨ Currently can review via: Storygraph (my favorite for many reasons- one is dark mode), Goodreads, and BookBub (usually just SG & GR though). I do have a Booksprout account and access to BookFunnel.

Amazon won’t let me review until I spend $50+ (apparently that’s how they judge if accounts are active and not spam). I may be able to review on Amazon in the future but for now, no.

-Kay✨

Their connection deepens, revealing a world where werewolves aren't just legends but reality. As their destinies intertwine more than Neith ever thought possible, their newfound bond becomes a target for those dreading prophecy's realisation.

Neith must grapple with her destined role—will she embrace it? Will Theo's secrets tear them apart or bring them closer?

"Bride of Ashena" weaves romance, mystery, and folklore into a spellbinding tale. Explore the power of fated love and the blurred lines between the world of humans and werewolves in this captivating story where a full moon could change everything.

V.E. Duncan | 13 comments Hi Kay!

Ooooh, someone else interested in science-y things! Yay!! I'm a MD/MS and I love writing science and medical into my work. <3

I'm working on my first series of sci-fi/romance/thriller books. Book 1: Immortal is already out (but can use more reviews!) I'll have ARC copies of Book 2: Hunting Grounds ready by late Aug/early Sept for a Nov 1 launch, and I'm looking for ARC readers for Book 2 now.

You could jump into the series at book 2 and understand most everything, but if you also wanted to read book 1 (Immortal), I'll also have the opportunity for my ARC team to get it for free around the same time as ARCs for HG.

If you're interested, I've got a google form set up for people to sign up to my ARC team here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA...

It's got the description of the book and possible trigger warnings on there, too, so you can decide if it's for you.

Also, if you wanted to read something shorter for free to see if you like the series (and my writing!), you can get the prequel novella (Book 0: Mortal Prey) for free when you sign up to my email list on my website at veduncan.com/sign-up.

You can also send me an email at veduncan@veduncan.com, I'd love to hear from you.

Have a great day!
Ginger (VE Duncan)

Blurb:
What do accidental stalking, panic attacks, and landscaping have in common?

Everly’s life is exactly as it should be, until her estranged sister comes back to town the same day Asim Jabbar knocks on her door, nearly knocking Everly off her slipper-clad feet and her anxious heart right out of her chest.

After the flirtiest plant delivery of her life, Everly tries to find her Hot Delivery Guy without becoming a stalker, then digs herself into a hole when she enlists his help re-landscaping her yard. An already immaculate yard that does not need any new plants.

Asim agrees, on one condition: that Everly get her perfectly manicured hands dirty and join him. Despite Asim turning her life upside down, Everly can't stop thinking about the muscular, tattooed plant dad.

But when Asim’s world collapses and past scars threaten their future, Everly doesn’t realize all that Asim has sacrificed for her until it’s too late.

Matthew Thompson (dominogalaxy) | 2 comments Hi Kay,

I have ARC for an adult, cosy sci-fi novel, available for review. The book contains profanity and mild sexual references.

Cyan-Amber is a deserter from Spectra, a planet on the brink of destruction. As an alien scout on Earth in 1995, she inhabits the body of Jasmine Price—a unique, artsy, crafty musician living in Camden, London. While reporting back to her home planet’s intelligence agency, Cyan Intel, she uncovers the strange, wonderful, and wicked aspects of what it means to be human.

Charlie Cooper, a mid-twenties rockstar wannabe, is stuck selling records instead of making them. Trapped by a dead-end job with an irritable boss, his only escape lies in Camden Town’s annual Battle of the Bands. But with his rebellious, gaming-obsessed sister, and a bandmate that’s oddly interested in intergalactic wars, Charlie’s fight for the stage is anything but ordinary.

As Earth faces a looming alien threat, both Cyan-Amber and Charlie are about to discover just how intertwined their fates truly are. The battle for Camden—and maybe the world—is about to begin.

John Fuller (john_t_fuller) | 11 comments Hi Kay,
Nice one on your masters! I hope you're finding lots of great new books to read. If you're interested, I have a new mm romance urban fantasy out yesterday that I'm looking for readers/reviewers for and I'd be happy to email you an ebook if you'd like (no obligation to read or review if I do!) (Also you might be appalled by my paranormal science in it lol!)

The West Coast of America, 1995. Chant has just arrived in town from England, running from something he’s not sharing. When he lands an unusual job at a local tattoo parlour, The Blue Comet, it seems like perhaps he’s finally found a place to call home, people to call family, and maybe even love with the artist with the big dark eyes and black curls. But everyone has their secrets, and Chant is about to learn just what those secrets are, and how they are connected to what lurks in the catacombs beneath the sunny seaside city of Santa Ines.

Fresh Ink is an urban horror-fantasy m/m romance. Available in two editions – high spice (explicit) and mild spice (fade to black) – this is a gay love story that is guaranteed to sink its teeth into you!
