Kaia | 727 comments I’ll add Two Necromancers, a Bureaucrat, and an Elf by LG Estrella. It was recommended by another group member but didn’t have enough pages to make it on the poll. It’s a fun story - great if you are looking for something light, funny, and quick. The audiobook also has a good narrator.

I’ll also add the two, I was torn on what to nominate and I clearly made the wrong choice. 🤣

The Daughter’s War by Christopher Buehlmann mentions a goblin war. Ima assuming The Blacktongue Thief would also qualify since they are in the same world?

How to Become The Dark Lord or Die Trying by Django Wexler also has some unnatural creatures.

Michelle (michellehartline) | 3203 comments I'll add Steven Brust's Jhereg. There are humans, elves and dragonish familiars.

DivaDiane SM | 3710 comments Virtually all of Charles De Lint’s book fit into this category.

CBRetriever | 6258 comments and I love Brust's and de Lint's books

a.g.e. montagner (agem) | 668 comments Well, old man Tolkien should get a mention. Lovecraft as well?

Bone by Jeff Smith and Monstress by Marjorie M. Liu and Sana Takeda, if comics are included.

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) (nerdishmaddog) | 122 comments The obvious addition is Anne Rice. Vampires, Golems, Angels, Mummies and Werewolves... witches too but they feel more "natural" to me.

also throwing a new release out there... The Spellshop. Its a cozy fantasy with loads of unnatural creatures that make you smile.
