The beginning wasn't terribly inviting though as it got the protagonist going where he needed to go; it flowed better. While the games aren't familiar (I have no idea what they were doing), I enjoyed some of the descriptions of strategies employed etc and the unexpected explosion at the end. The twists though weren't quite unexpected. Overall, a rather interesting read even if I didn't quite love it.
