What are your top 10 best/favorite books published since 2000?

OMG this was hard. No wonder the books in the New York Times best books list are mostly rather recent, cause there have been sooooo many good ones. Picking just 10 is rough. :)

I'll be gathering everyone's lists and will post on our sadly neglected Dewey's blog site what our top 100ish books are so far. We may do this once every readathon, too, so we can see how the answers shift over time.

This is such a big question that I find it hard to think about so I'm just going to list a few: On Beauty, Zadie Smith; Crossroads, Jonathon Franzen; The Overstory, Richard Powers; Outline, Rachel Cusk; Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro.
