Oy, neither am I. We'll have to see what I can come up with...

Steph (angel4492) | 32776 comments I’ve recently seen a few books tagged as horror that to me, someone who likes to read a gory, creepy horror, don’t read (blurbs) as scary.

Ex: One Dark Window (The Shepherd King, #1) by Rachel Gillig

Maybe you’ll find something that’ll fit and be more inside your comfort zone 😊

Happy almost August, y’all!

Yeah, a lot of paranormal books are tagged as horror that most straight line horror readers wouldn't consider horror - save me in many a challenge, though! The Anita Blake series is like that for me - it's right on the edge, I think. Maybe more gory and creepy than actually scary... It's probably what I'll use this month!

Other series I found that aren't too bad - Horror-lite, if you will
Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper

White Rabbit Chronicles

Series where most or some of the books are tagged more often than mpg horror - they can get pretty gory, so I'd agree
Black Dagger Brotherhood

Fever

In Death

Kitty Norville

Victoria (nemerith) | 1218 comments Oh, thanks for the info Steph and Laurla! I haven't even checked the horror list on GR, but it sounds like many of my books would be on there, so well... might be easy in the end :D
