You start on level 1. This is where you get your keycard. No circles are punched out. There is a scanner before the entrance to each level, and you use your keycard to get into the levels. You can go back and retry a level, or just do them in an orderly fashion in which a normal human being would mostly likely do. No one knows much about the keycards other than they are a very important item which you should never EVER lose. It is simply to important. You would have to retry level 1 and it wouldn't register your progress, so you would have to reboot, and lose all your precious levels, which no one wants!
Levels 1-5 are mainly simple puzzles and sometimes timed agility races. There are also a few buildings around here to get you started, and a few inns and pubs as well.
