Like Mother, Like Daughter

August's book will be Katelynn's pick!

Like Mother, Like Daughter by Kimberly McCreight

The hardcover is available now and the paperback version will be released on Wednesday the 31st. It is a little on the pricey side, so if a few people order it and others need to borrow it I'm sure we all would be happy to let you borrow it! Just shoot one of us a message and we can figure it out. If you guys find it somewhere else let us know!

This book had so much going on at all times for no reason. I did not want to pick this book up AT ALL. The daughter is insufferable, theres a million characters for no reason, and so many untied ends.

They all suck. Nobody dies. The end.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️/5

I had so much hype for this book when I read the blurb and when I was done with it I was highly disappointed. To save you all some time, basically the story goes:

1. Something happens (20 pages)
2. A bunch of irrelevant stuff. (290 pages)
3. Problem easily solved which shouldn’t make sense because of certain events that occurred during the problem resolution process. (10 pages)

Very lame. Very not mindful. Very not demure.
