Rowan {*Shiloh} Nekros - seventeen - transgender man [he/they/it] - homosexual
Rowan is cold, sarcastic, and witty. This is only because whenever they try to be nice they get hurt because everyone is repelled by them. When someone isn’t repelled by them, they block them out so that they don’t get hurt further. That is only because of the trust issues they’ve developed over the years. They’re extremely intelligent and talented, with a photographic memory and extensive knowledge on most subjects. They come off as crafty and sly, though they dislike it, no one will see them as anything else.
but the longer i sleep the slower my heart beats
Rowan Nekros was born on February 4th to Willow Nekros in Detroit, Michigan as Shiloh Nekros {which he changed to Rowan after his transition}. Willow was a member of the Army, causing her to be away from home for long periods of time. However, after Rowan’s birth, she was given time to raise her child for around a year, before he was put into the care of a nanny. His nanny was a kind eighty year old woman he called Ms. Katy, who was widowed, with children who did not care about her. The woman took care of him, treating Rowan {who was Shiloh and female at the time, as they were one years old} like her own child. When Rowan’s mother was around they would all spend time together. Rowan was six when Ms. Katy died. His mother was at home with him when they got the news, and they attended the funeral the next day.
A week later, Willow had to return to the army, and Rowan got a new nanny. His new nanny was a woman in her mid thirties, who wore many rings and always had her purse with her, which was heavier than most purses. This nanny didn’t seem to care as much, and she would often hit him with her purse, leaving him bruised. Rowan started to attend kindergarten, where he would only see his nanny in mornings and after school. On weekends he tried to stay in his room as much as possible, because no matter what his nanny ended up hitting him. He found attic space above his bathroom, and made a hideout up there with music and books and toys and the like. Rowan’s life went downhill after his mother’s death. He was eight years old, being taken care of by the nanny while his mother was away from home. Rowan didn’t know until a week after it’d happened. He was heartbroken, painting his nails black and cutting his long, pretty black hair to a bob. He was placed in foster care, where he was placed with a nice couple in their forties, who were sweet as sugar. He was placed in school and tried to be nice, though his emo appearance caused kids to not want to be around him, and his trauma caused him to have trust issues. He had no friends and was practically invisible, even forgotten by the teachers sometimes. He was a good student, usually A+’s, by the time he was in the fifth grade having 274 as his MAP test averages, with “high hopes for her future” {as he was still Shiloh at the time}, all of which was said at a parent - teacher meeting. Teachers tried to get him to reach out to the other students same as what his adoptive parents did, but it was too late for that, as his reputation as the emo kid repeatedly made others avoid him, if they even remembered he existed. “Invisible Shiloh”, what he was called by a bully the one time he did reach out. That was the last time he tried that. On the first day of middle school, after school had ended, he went home, got his stuff, and ran away. He had about fifty dollars from doing chores, and his shapeshifting allowed him to go to stores and buy things.
Rowan Nekros’ home for the few months after he ran away (he was ten) was a empty dumpster that had all he needed. He spent most days reading his books, and he had his MP3 player. One day, he was attacked by a hellhound in a public park, where he decided to visit since he was bored. Luckily for him a satyr was there and saved him, taking him to Camp Half-blood. He’s been there ever since, treated like an outsider because of his personality, appearance, and heritage. He transitioned when he was thirteen, changing his name.

Magdalena Victoria Griffith - fifteen - cisgender female [she/her/hers] - (closeted) panromantic asexual
Magdalena is wise and very witty. Her eyes look calculating, like she is analyzing whoever she is looking at during a first meeting, as if "thinking of the best way to take the person down in a fight". She is very strong-minded and stubborn, as well as incredibly determined and daring. Though she is very kind-hearted, Magdalena can be very harsh and judgmental during first meetings, but she is very loyal to those who later had win her approval. She isn't quick to give up on those she cares about. She hardly ever shows her true feelings, often hiding worry or upsetness with raw or teasing anger. She has undiagnosed ocd
this town and you better believe it honey
Magdalena was born as a Griffith, a family that was known for their successful business(es) that the collective members of the family owned. Because of this, she grew up in a legitimate mansion, and went to a private school since she was able to attend school. Her father was caring and was around for a decent amount of time. One day, Lena was twelve, the airplane her father was flying on (as he returned to the U.S. from Europe}, the plane crashed. Everyone on board died. She then went to live with her closest living relative, her estranged uncle who’d been shunted by the rest of the family. Her father and her uncle had never been close, due to their clashing views on almost everything. Her uncle made her go to a public school, where she met an extremely strange boy, and they soon became good friends. When she turned 13, her friend Vineyard -who was actually a satyr- brought her to camp, where she has been ever since.
A few months after Lena turned 14, she was on guard duty, and saw Vineyard, running towards camp, being chased by monsters, along with a young raven-haired girl. She rushed to help them, getting the young girl to safety. As she turned to help her friend, she saw her with multiple scars, all of which were bleeding. Lena tried to rush over and help, but before she could, the monster ate her friend alive. She, after that, closed her circle of friends just a little bit more, so that if something like that happened she wouldn’t feel so badly hurt.

Cheyenne Deirdre Muldoon - fifteen - demigirl [she/they] - lesbian asexual
Cheyenne is your typical Apollo cabin kid, kind, caring, and calm. They never really lose their temper, unless it’s with monsters that harm a loved one of them. Their presence alone seems to light up a room, and they sometimes do both literally and figuratively. They are the type of person who is barely ever sad on the outside, will neglect their mental health and basic needs for people they don’t even know, secretly is pretty broken but never shows it, and the person who’s always there for everyone else but is never there for themself. They work in the infirmary.
Cheyenne is the one friend you can always count on. You need something from advice to healing to simply company, they are always there. No matter how stressed they are, no matter how bad their day has been going, they’ll still help. This often goes unnoticed, since everyone is so used to them being this way, and everyone thinks it was because their childhood was flawless, or they have no trauma or something like that. Secretly, they have unresolved trauma that stabs at their heart constantly, though no one really knows since it’s hard to find that sort of thing if you aren’t looking and Cheyenne just hides it really well.
They have a to of pressure on their hands as a healer in the infirmary and someone that many people come to for advice. They are a people pleaser and seem physically unable to say no to most things, even if it causes them a lot of stress. Cheyenne is a singer and a archer, though they fight with daggers as well as a bow.

Helena Milan - seventeen - cisgender female [she/her/hers] - bisexual
Helena is confident, ambitious, and cunning, unafraid to do risky things. She is very intelligent and witty, and often speaks her mind. She knows where she wants to go and won't stop still she gets there. She always seems to have somewhere she has to be. She knows exactly how to get what she wants and uses that to her advantage. Sometimes (though not often) she'll be flirtatious, usually to get what she wants, though sometimes when she really likes someone she'll flirt with them.
if you catch me at the border, i got visas in my name If you come around here
Helena was born as Katrine Milan, with a twin sister named Zuri. Zuri was the child that was expected, Katrine however wasn’t. To elaborate, Hecate was not supposed to have twins, but instead a single child. Because of this, Katrine was abandoned by her mother within a month of birth. She would have died if it wasn’t for the parental instincts of forest animals. When she was abandoned she was given humongous clothes that she was dressed in. Though she didn’t, and really couldn’t know it at the time, those clothes were supposed to last her until she found her way to Camp Half-blood.
Helena lived in the forest, with not too much food and a simple life. She never did too much talking. She was occasionally attacked by monsters, but she fought them off somehow. One day, she wondered out of the forest and was near the camp border but not in Camp Half-blood. She was attacked by 2 manticores. The two demigods on guard duty rushed to help her, but both were badly injured. More demigods ran to help and rushed all three of them to the infirmary, but the two with injuries didn’t make it. The demigods who saved Helena were Mia Diaz from the Ares cabin and Jaime Hughes from the Hermes cabin. Helena had a broken arm and a few wounds, but her injuries were minimal compared to if Mia and Jaime hadn’t helped. Helena, despite being told over and over that it wasn’t her fault, still blamed herself for causing the death of two demigods. The Hermes cabin was her home for the next few weeks. Almost the entire cabin cold shouldered her, because they blamed her for the death of their older brother (who happened to be the head counselor). She was claimed by Hecate one day during breakfast. She was rushed over to Hecate table and her older sister Liza vowed to be her personal guide around Camp, and to also teach her English. Liza and Ethan went to college when she was about 15, leaving her as the head counselor.
She lived a normal life at Camp Half-blood before going on a quest and meeting her boyfriend Thorn.

선희전 (Sunhi Jeon) - 17 - female [she/her/hers] - aroace lesbian
Sunhi is always on the move, both physically and mentally. She loves to write. Stories, poems, random thoughts—anything that lets her imagination run wild. She’s always asking questions, always wanting to learn more. She can’t sit still. Always tapping her foot, clicking a pen, or playing with her hair. Her mind wanders often. Sometimes it leads to brilliant ideas. Other times, it’s just a distraction. She goes with the flow. Plans change? No problem. She’s quick to adjust. She often replays conversations in her head. Did she say the right thing? Did she offend someone?
She carries a notebook everywhere. You’ll often catch her scribbling ideas mid-conversation. Fidgeting is her default mode. If she’s not writing, she’s doodling, tapping, or stimming in some other way. Her creativity makes them a problem-solver. Her adaptability helps them navigate life’s ups and downs. She’s always searching, always creating, but never quite settling. She has people pleasing tendencies but with her unpredictability makes people dislike her. She has muscular dystrophy and is an ambulatory wheelchair user. She also has autism. She knows Korean, Greek, ASL, and English.as a body from the balcony
At age 6, Sunhi was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that led to weakening in her leg muscles. The diagnosis came as a shock for her family, and her father never dealt with it well. He saw it as a burden and focused all his attention on her younger brother, who at all accounts was considered "normal".
Growing up, her younger brother, Minjun, was always favored. Her father pushed Minjun to participate in athletic activities, even when Minjun was not inclined to it, and constantly praised him for physical feats. He would dismiss Sunhi’s accomplishments (academic or artistic) as less important when compared to his son’s. This created an environment where Sunhi learned to minimize her needs and strive for perfection in hopes of earning a modicum of her father's acknowledgment, which never came.
She met her partner Akilah in 6th grade. They became friends, since they were both outcasted for being disabled (Akilah is deaf). Sunhi learned sign language for Akilah and started spending a lot more time around suns house instead of her own. Akilah had divorced parents, and lived with suns extremely supportive mother. Akilah is a clear sighted mortal. One day (after they’d started dating), Sunhi was attacked by a monster when out with Akilah. Both of them barely survived. The only reason they both didn’t die is because they were saved by a satyr. Sunhi was taken to Camp Half-blood that day. Ever since she and Akilah have been writing letters to each other. The only time the two see each other is when Sunhi visits for the winter holidays (which she does every year).

Nala Vasiliki Anniston - 17 - transfem [she/they/it] - (closeted) lesbian
Nala is a fierce spirit. She stands tall, often with arms crossed, radiating a cold exterior that keeps others at bay. She doesn't easily show warmth. To her, vulnerability is a weakness. Instead, she believes in strength—strength to fight for what she wants. Her ambition? College. Nala dreams of a future beyond camp. It drives her, fuels her every move. Stubbornness defines her. Once she sets her mind on something, there's no turning back. This trait means she often clashes with others. If someone challenges her plans, she digs in her heels. Compromise? Not in her vocabulary.
Interactions are transactional. Nala values what others bring to the table. She seeks connections that serve her goals. However, if someone earns her trust, a different side emerges. In those rare moments, her fierce nature softens. Those close to her glimpse a loyal friend. Nala's flaws surface in her need for power. She constantly seeks control, whether in group activities or conversations. This need can push others away. It creates tension. Nala struggles with trusting others. She worries that showing weakness will hurt her because of her childhood.
When faced with challenges, Nala reacts with determination. If a task seems impossible, she rolls up her sleeves. Failure isn’t an option. Yet, this drive can blind her. She sometimes overlooks the help she could receive. In relationships, Nala's coldness is a barrier. People often misinterpret her fierce demeanor as unapproachable. But underneath, there's a desire to belong. She fears rejection, which makes her push people away. Nala is a complex character. Her ambition, flaws, and fierce demeanor create a rich personality. She’s ready to navigate the world around her, facing challenges head-on while learning to balance her need for power with the importance of connection. She can always be found in a leather jacket over a camp shirt and jean shorts / baggy jeans.park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about meGrowing up, Nala witnessed frequent, intense fights between her mother, Nia, and her older brother, Dakari. Nia's volatile temper often led to loud arguments and physical altercations, including Nia hitting Dakari. This instilled in Nala a deep-seated fear of conflict with her mother. She learned early on how to become invisible, a quiet observer in her own home, finding solace in her imagination and creative outlets. From a young age, Nala felt a profound disconnect between her assigned gender at birth and her internal sense of self. While aware of it, her focus was on survival within her dysfunctional household and had no language to understand her true self. She repressed these feelings for much of her adolescence, fearing further alienation in an already turbulent family, but would often be drawn to female-identifying spaces. When Dakari left home (after a particularly nasty incident), Nala felt a complex mix of relief and abandonment. While she knew it was best for him, it emphasized her isolation and the instability of her home life. She also shouldered a weight of guilt, wondering if she could have done more to help him, or to have intervened in the violence.
Nala came out to her mother at the age of thirteen. She was getting really dysphoric, annd couldn’t go on as a boy any longer. Nia’s reaction was initially one of denial and anger, further distancing herself from Nala. Not long after Nala was taken to camp after a monster attack. She stayed in Hermes cabin for the next few years, and, though she’s know Zeus was her dad since she first came to camp, she only first got claimed after the battle of Manhattan. She hopes one day she can be reunited with her brother.

Anjali Naima Khadka - seventeen - demigirl [she/they] - omnisexual
Anjali is a quiet thinker. They often sit alone, lost in thought, observing the world around them. Intelligence runs deep. Anjali excels in school, always curious but rarely vocal. This introverted nature means they often go unnoticed. But their mind? It's a whirlwind of ideas and dreams. The dream? College. Anjali sees education as the key to a brighter future, a way out of Camp Half-blood and . Every decision, every late-night study session, is driven by this goal. They sacrifice social events for extra time with books. Friends may think Anjali is distant, but their heart beats for those they care about.
In interaction, Anjali is practical. Conversations are brief. They prefer to listen rather than speak. When talking, they focus on the essentials, though they make sure not to come off as rude or cold. They have incredibly low standards for pretty much all relationships, and it often hurts them, especially because they would do anything for anyone. This selflessness often leads them to neglect their own needs. Friends rely on Anjali’s support, but that comes at a cost. They struggle with setting boundaries. They would sacrifice their closest relationships if they thought it would be better for the other person. That being said, on multiple occasions they have cut off ties with others when they felt like the other person deserved better and could have a better life without Anjali in it.
Forming connections is tricky. Anjali craves deep relationships but fears vulnerability. They trust only a few, who see the kindness behind the quiet exterior. In moments of struggle, Anjali seeks solace in these close bonds, even if they don’t always express it.
and over the coast, everyone's convinced
it’s a government drone or an alien spaceshipAnjali grew up with her “mother” (Katherine) and father (Batsal) in a small rural town. She had been born through an affair between her father and the goddess Oizys, though her father had been married. Her father was Nepalese and Katherine was British, which was why she developed a British accent. She had a younger half-brother who was born when she was four. Her paternal grandmother also lived near them (like 5 minutes away). She was kind and generous and loved Anjali dearly. She would over to her grandmother’s house as much as possible. Her grandmother passed when she was 8 and, in her will gave Anjali money for college that couldn’t be accessed until she was eighteen, and a marble-bead bracelet with a star charm attached to it. Her parents weren’t very good ones and didn’t support the kids as they should have to have them turn out as mentally healthy people who were able to form healthy relationships. Katherine would often yell at her for the slightest little thing, which taught her to stay quiet. She would get screamed at for taking things to literally, misunderstanding simple verbal instructions, and not telling things to Katherine (she was to scared to). Her half-brother Nicholas had a different coping strategy. He acted out for attention rather than doing what Anjali did, which got them both in trouble. Nicholas strongly disliked her, but she still cared about him and wanted to be the older sibling she didn’t get to have. When she was around eleven she got into a really bad fight with Katherine which ended up with her running away from home. She lived on the street for a bit before getting taken to camp. Her weapon of choice is knives and she is a skilled acrobat who uses her skill when fighting.

Wylan Theodore Ambrose - 18 - transmasc [he/they/it] - gay // aroace
Wylan is quiet, preferring to be alone over socializing. Ever since he was a kid, he’d always loved building things, as well as taking things apart to see how they worked. He’s mature for his age, as he had to step in as parent for his sister, but comes off as childish sometimes to people who don’t know him well. He is very sweet and affectionate with those close to him, though is also polite to those he does know. He absolutely adores his cat.
but, stand up for me, stand up for me
mercilessly slaughteringWylan grew up with his mother and sister in an apartment building in New York. His sister (Enya) was born a year after he was born, though his father didn't stick around to raise either of them. His mother (insert name) was unreliable, not taking very good care of either of them, causing him to step in as a more stable figure for Enya to look up to. They went to a public school with decent education but lots of bullying that was unnoticed by teachers (Wylan was a target of this due to his audhd and dyslexia). Wylan was an intelligent kid, as was Enya, and they kept pretty high grades. His mother would frequently berate him over the smallest mistakes and hit him, and did with Enya. This went on from when they were young (five /| six years old), to when they ran away from home (eleven // twelve years old). They packed all their things up (which wasn't much, and left their house in the middle of the summer night. After a few months of living on the streets, they were found by a monster who attacked them. They managed to fight off the monster with the help of a saytr who ended up taking them to Camp Half-blood. After a year they got claimed by Vulcan, their godly parent. Wylan transitioned at the age of 13, right around the time he and his sister claimed.

(view spoiler)
personality: tae is the kind of person who slips into a room like a shadow—present, but never demanding attention. an introvert with a soul stitched together by stories and sketches, he finds comfort in the quiet: a book cracked open under soft light, the swirl of glaze on a pottery wheel, the scratch of graphite on paper. his creativity is not loud or performative—it’s a form of self-preservation and expression. polite to a fault, tae keeps a respectful distance from most, not out of coldness but caution. trust is earned slowly, but once given, it’s deep and unwavering. around those rare few who make them feel safe, his warmth emerges—sarcastic humor, unexpected insight, and a fierce loyalty that surprises even him. anxiety is a quiet companion, always humming in the background, but tae’s learned to coexist with it, to breathe through the noise and find stillness in his art. he’s are deeply empathetic, with a calm exterior that masks a storm of thoughts and feelings. his strengths lie in creative problem-solving, keen observation, and a loyalty that runs deeper than words. but he struggle, too—with social anxiety, with the fear of being misunderstood, with the tendency to retreat inward when the world feels too loud. he’s competitive, though only when it comes to things like games or sports, and only with certain people. he’s the type of person who works better with adrenaline than without it. he’s has undiagnosed autism and gad, though he is aware of his gad, him being autistic has never crossed his mind. and his favorite place is the creek near the forest and frequently goes there. he is deathly afraid of falling into the creek but likes to go because it’s quiet and helps him concentrate // reflect and analyze things.
