Does anyone have Kobu Plus? In recent weeks, several of the authors I regularly read have left KU. It turns out many of them are in Kobu Plus. It's cheaper than KU, but it doesn't look like it has the selection that KU has. So, if anyone's used it, can you provide your experiences?

Sorry, don't have access to it from my part of the world. But there maybe people on the JAFF FB pages who can help?

I don't have FB. This is the closest to social media I get.
I subscribed for the free first month about a year ago, but as you pointed out, it has a much smaller selection for JAFF material (but some that I wasn't willing to pay for a copy of from another source that wasn't on KU). I found that it wasn't enough of an incentive at the time to go beyond that first month. YRMV now if more authors are moving to that platform. I found it a bit of a pain having to read off my PC too (but if you have a kobo or a tablet that has a better battery life than my old one then ....)

I will keep you posted, if I get any replies.
First response:I used to subscribe to Kobo plus, but left for the reasons you outlined - there isn't as much selection in terms of JAFF. It is cheaper than Kindle though.
2nd replyI tried it as a reader for a month and left disappointed. The selections for JAFF and historical romance in general were so few, and I didn’t like the quality for half of them. The search experience was also not very effective. It’s too bad because I love my Kobo device itself!
Hope this helps, Linda
Thanks. That helps a lot. It isn't just the JAFF authors for me. Several of my favorite romance authors have left KU and are now on Kobo. I might try it for a few months, read their latest releases, and only go back periodically. If more of my favorite authors go to Kobo I'll have to reconsider. At least it is cheaper than KU. I have an iPad that I do most of my reading on, and can download the Kobo app.
