Writing and ranting discussion

Writing the first sentence of your story is so stressful, because it has to be captivating but not too informative! So write as many first sentence starters as you want here! It’s helpful for others and for ourselves!

I’m currently working on my second short story, and my first sentence goes like
“My ragged mother, in her life of sin and abuse, claimed she had become an Angel of God.”
