A work colleague adores this author and this is her favourite book of said author. I enjoyed the setting and even the character, to a point; I mean how could you not love an ex-soldier on the down inheriting a second hand bookshop who just loves to read even if he's not highly educated as some?
Some parts frustrated me because I can see a mile away, there's something suss about it, dude! However, it's all part of the story and despite the heartache, I did somewhat enjoy the ups and downs of this budding relationship. And the mystery was also quite suspenseful. Watch out for the spice though! I expected a little and got a tonne more than I expected
