Plot, Characters, Mechanics, World Building - The Four Pillars of Fiction, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi discussion

Plot — This book is not like every other run-of-the-mill story around nowadays. I won't say too much, but I have not read a book similar to this one. It has some great plot and a lot of interesting space exploration. Space!!!

Characters — The Bobiverse series is written from the perspective of Bob (or the Bobs), who has basically been cloned into an advanced AI. Its interesting to see that each clone has a somewhat different personality, but they all are still basically the same in some ways. Its not as hard to keep track of multiple perspectives as I thought and very interesting to read about.
Bob also has clear strengths and weaknesses as a character. His strengths are physics, engineering, being a sci-fi geek, and little else. He struggles with things like people skills, biology, ecology, etc. He feels like a real person.

I'm currently on the 3rd book. I like the series so far, and recommend it. The only thing to beware is that the series is not completely finished yet.

Sounds like a great series! The first book is on my to-read shelf, and I'm looking forward to giving it a go.
