Lisa König | 10 comments Hello :)

I recently set up my second novella on amazon and it got automatically created here on goodreads as well (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) However, just as with the first novella, it has been attributed to an author with the same name, who however does not write english Fantasy. Could you redirect the book to my author page please? Also, I tried to add the information that 'The Cartographer from Greenwood' is part one of a series so that I may add 'The Cartographer's Return' as part two once it has been added to my page, (series name 'The Cartographer's Travels'), however it says 'You are not authorized to perform this action.' Is this something you might be able to help me with as well? I found in the Librarian Manual I need a librarian's help for that and it would be amazing if you good give me a hand

Thank you in advance for your time

Lisa König | 10 comments Hi there

Don't mean to be a bother, just hoping to avoid this post vanishing in obscurity. I am not sure how your set-up works and I still have the issue of my novel being attributed to another person

Scott | 12613 comments You will need to ask support to merge you into Lisa Maria König, which is your correct name according to your books.

Lisa König | 10 comments Hello Scott

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. My first novella has been successfully attributed to me and the other Lisa König does not have my middle name either. So if the book can be incorrectly attributed to her without it displaying the full 'Lisa Maria König', I am not sure why that would not be possible for me? Furthermore, while my full name is on the book cover, on amazon too as an author it only says Lisa König. If it helps I can elaborate my name on here but I can't quite see the issue

Scott | 12613 comments The issue is that if someone searches for your name s/he may not be able to find you or your book. Therefore it is GR policy that the two must match.

Lisa König | 10 comments The name matches with the author name on amazon. It also was no issue with 'The Cartographer from Greenwood', my first novella which is correctly attributed to my account. There too the cover says Lisa Maria König and there too the amazon attribution is to Lisa König, identical to the current book. I apologise if I sound stubborn, that is not my intend. But currently, my book is attributed to a Lisa König who is not me and you are telling me you can't attribute it to me because my name here is Lisa König and not Lisa Maria König. Am I understanding correctly? When why would my book be attributed to another author with apparently the wrong name in the first place?
Would the issue be solved if I just changed my name on here, so it matches the book cover even though it will no longer match the author on amazon as a result?

Scott | 12613 comments Your book was imported from Amazon, where it is also incorrect. We cannot manually check every book that comes in.

You will not be able to change your name yourself as Lisa Maria König already exists here. You need to contact support.

Lisa König | 10 comments I tried changing my name but I get message now that: "Sorry, only users with librarian status can edit book and author data. If you would like librarian status, then please apply here."
Do I have to open a new thread to achieve such a change with the help of a librarian?
I do want to thank you for your time, even if it is a somewhat tricky situation I seem to have found myself in.

Scott | 12613 comments I have sent a note to support explaining the issue.
