Introduction
Paul Blofis is introduced in the 3rd book as Sally's love interest. They sit at a table together when Percy Iris messages his mother and she tells him [Paul] that she needed to go to the bathroom and Percy notices that his mother truly likes Paul and tells her that as long as she's okay, she should go for it.
Percy meets Paul formally in the next book, The Battle of the Labyrinth, and we learn that Percy admires Paul's wardrobe choices and the two get along. We find out that Paul is an English teacher at Goode High School, where he even manages to enroll Percy and he [Percy] manages to even stay in that school for 2 years.
Paul asks Percy if he would give him his blessing (how cute) to marry Sally and Percy agrees since he notices that his mother has never been that happy, especially since she had to put up with
the sewer ratSmelly Gabe for so many years and Paul's a major upgrade. He eventually meets Poseidon too at Percy's 15th birthday.
Him and Sally get married, but that is not mentioned in the books (even if it would've been so cool!!) and Paul moves in with Sally and Percy.
In the fifth book, he learns that Percy is a demigod and even helps in the Battle of Manhattan by killing a monster (I forgot which one, sorry) with a sword (thanks to his Shakespeare plays in college).
My opinion
I honestly think that Paul is a nice addition to the Riordanverse and I'm so happy that someone, who's not
a ratSmelly Gabe is there with Sally when Percy isn't.I like that he tries to bond with Percy and I might even argue that he is a better father figure to him than Poseidon.#
Anyway, I'll see you guys tomorrow with a deep dive on *disgust* Smelly Gabe.
