Memoir Authors discussion

I'm trying to market my books, but I've encountered a concerning error: 'This book belongs to someone else.' It appears someone is claiming ownership of my books! I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and how they resolved it.

I did. My books were assigned to another writer. I wrote to goodreads and it was changed immediately. Now I can't remember how I contacted the site! Somewhere hidden in the places to click is contact information. This happened before amazon bought the site, so it used to be easier to find. Wishing you success in reclaiming ownership, and in marketing your books.

Thanks Linda , I contacted Goodreads' Support but unfortunately seems they have no idea about the issue asking me do other things irrelevant to the issue. I thought post it perhaps someone experiencing the same can help . Thanks

Where does this error show up? It seems that all of your books are listed under your Goodreads profile and also under your Amazon one. Are you trying to add a new edition of an existing book? If so, maybe you could raise this issue in the Goodreads Librarians group: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/....

(By the way, I'm not Goodreads staff - just intrigued about the issue you describe.)

I haven't experienced that problem, but Goodreads Support was able to fix this problem: Some of my books were listed as authored by Jeff Rasley and some by Jeffrey Rasley. The 2 different listings were merged into one. I worked with support-reply@goodreads.com
to solve the problem.

Could it be an ISBN conflict?

No, it's about emails - apparently, all Goodreads, Amazon, and KDP should have one email.

It did , but took long time , changing all emails. in some cases added two emails to my profile . Thanks
