I finished Shadebringer by Grayson W. Hooper. This is a fantasy novel that I got from the Goodreads Giveaways so had to read it so I could review it. I am now reading Vengeance in Death by J. D. Robb. I really like this serries. Eve always gets her man.
Ivy wrote: "I am now reading Vengeance in Death by J. D. Robb. I really like this serries. Eve always gets her man. ..."Me too, Ivy! There are so many of them that I fear I'll never catch up, as I have to read in order. Thank goodness Goodreads helps me keep track of where I am!
Play It In Reverse by Victoria Angelique for a quick nostalgic, occult thriller read. Read it on Kindle Unlimited.I just finished We Used to Live Here as well. It got confusing at the end but when I discovered it is part of an alternate reality game on reddit (r/oldhousearchive) it became more intriguing. I plan to reread and try to solve the hidden puzzles within the book.
Hi Everyone,I hope you are all keeping well. Like most of you I am a very keen reader!
I have just read a book called 'Between The Sirens', by Rosie Sully and I just wanted to recommend as it is one of the better books I have read in a while.
It is a dual storyline set between the modern day and 1940's blitzed Stepney/ Poplar. The travel between timelines begins when a young woman (Amelia) goes for past life regression and then she keeps reverting back to a former life in her dreams.
It is beautifully written, has some great characters including a really cheeky spiv and also tackles mental health in the present day. I really enjoyed it, I thought the storyline was unique so wanted to recommend.
I'm also hoping people will be able to suggest other stories I might enjoy. I have just started on Beautiful/Ugly by Alice Feeney.
Thanks K x
If you’re looking for really good thrillers that are hard to put down, here are a few I’d personally recommend. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson – One of the best I’ve ever read. The twists keep coming and the story keeps escalating in ways you don’t expect. Easily one of my favorite thrillers.
Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier – Dark, intense, and very gripping. The emotional stakes are high and the tension keeps building until the end. One of the most memorable thrillers I’ve read recently.
The Tenant by Freida McFadden – Very fast and entertaining. This one moves quickly and keeps you guessing the whole time.
The Last Flight by Julie Clark – A really engaging thriller with a great premise and strong pacing. The story unfolds in a very satisfying way.
All of these kept me hooked and were really hard to put down. If you enjoy twisty thrillers with strong pacing and big reveals, these are definitely worth checking out.
