Write here which book would you like to read in November.
The full list of VMC books you can find on our to-read shelf.

For the sake of diversity, please don't nominate books from previous poll, that is:
Precious Bane by Mary Webb
The Hours Before Dawn by Celia Fremlin
You will be able to nominate them again after a month.

Take also a look at our buddy-reads for this year. Please, do not nominate these books too, you can read them with us as a buddy-read.

You can nominate 1 or 2 books. The rest of the rules you can find here.

Weirdly, I just came on here to look that one up, having come across it twice recently in charity shops. I'd love to read it.

Sonia Johnson | 144 comments I will nominate A Pin to See the Peepshow

I remember watching a TV serialisation as a young teenager and crying buckets, so I put off reading the book. I recently came across a secondhand copy, and am planning on reading it in November. It is no longer published by Virago, and it is now part of the British Library Women Writers series. It is also available through the Internet Archive.
