Play Book Tag discussion

NB this is the first time I've ever read this.

The writing is excellent but it's darker than I realized, but at least the children are quite intrepid despite their worry and fear. It's a good thing I didn't encourage my children to read this at the right ages because it would have upset them; like adults, children have different levels of sensitivity to things in books. I suspect I'd have gobbled these up had they been around when I was a child; I was sensitive, but most of this isn't any darker than some fairy tales or some of the classic books I read back then (Charles Dickens has some cruel treatment of children, for example.) Yes, I did cry reading books sometimes.
