I was really hoping to get to The Outsider, but got delayed on finishing Sleeping Beauties. Only about halfway through that one...

I blame Brandon Sanderson, Rings of Power, and fantasy football drafts for my negligence lol

I love the Outsider so much! I just love the character Holly!

i loved outsider, I read in 2019, and I was so surprised.

I started reading the outsider and never finished it. I got wrapped up in other books. I thought it was good at least what I read.

“The Outsider” is a really solid read by the “new” King.
Interesting, even though not totally original premise, excellent characters and quite a few surprises and shocking moments along the way.
The only major criticism would be slightly slower pacing in the final third of the book and (maybe) somewhat routine dispatching of the villain…

For the lovers of the Bill Hodges trilogy and especially Holly Gibney will surely a real pleasure to read and treasure.

Totally missed this was on the slate for Sept. :( Thought it would be coming up in Oct or Nov. Have done my first reread of The Stand this month but will get cracking with The Outsider next as I've enjoyed us going back through the Hodges trilogy and would like to get around to Holly (the novel) after these rereads.

I finished this earlier this week and really enjoyed it overall.

A little too long with a slightly underwhelming and overly long ending but overall really enjoyable and great to have Holly appear!

I’ve not read it yet because I watched the series a few years ago. Are there many differences in the book? If there are then I’ll read it at some point.

I'm going to be late with this as I'm still only halfway through Sleeping Beauties.

Lots of distractions interfering with reading time. Hurricane coming this week which might kill power and shut down the city. Then I might just read and catch up lol
