non-fiction stuff counts, yes!

I have a question. Can I still get points even if I DNF a book? I got approximately 47% through my book but I could not finish it for the life of me. If not that’s fine just curious.

yep, just record how many pages you read out of the total pages (e.g. 150/400, you would get 10 points for having read between 100-199 pages)

Hi-I have a question! If I am currently reading a book (technically started before 12/5) but don’t finish it until after the challenge starts, can I use that for this challenge?

I'll be explaining that tomorrow before it starts, but if you started it on the 1st/2nd/3rd/4th of December and finish it during the challenge then yes you can record it

So say I’m reading my second book of the seasonDo I write the total number of pages I’ve read including the first book or just of that particular second book?

Do I write the total number of pages I’ve read including the first book or just of that particular second book?"
so when you finish one book, you can record that one book on its own using the format, in which case you would use the total number of pages of that book alone, like:
book: book name
pages: 500
points: 50
some people decide to wait until they have a few books read and then record them in one comment, which is equally fine, and you would just list them out in that one comment like:
book: book name 2
pages: 350
points: 30
book: book name 3
pages: 460
points: 40

It isn't a problem that I was already in group three during the previous challenges, right?

WHEN?

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS
Once the challenge begins, you will be able to record every book you read during the timeline of the challenge.
You CAN record books that you started in March and finished once the challenge started (i.e. I started a book on March 02 and finished it on March 06, I can record my points for this book / anything started BEFORE March 01 will not be eligible.
Go to your group's topic and use the format stated there to record your finished books.
POINTS SYSTEM
<100 pages -- 5 points
100 - 199 pages -- 10 points
200 - 299 pages -- 20 points
300 - 399 pages -- 30 points
400 - 499 pages -- 40 points
500 - 599 pages -- 50 points
600 - 699 pages -- 60 points
700 - 799 pages -- 70 points
800 - 899 pages -- 80 points
900 PAGES OR ABOVE -- 100 points
EXTRA POINTS
Including a Goodreads LINKED REVIEW to the book you are recording will give you an extra 10 points which you will add to your total in your comment. If your review is not linked in the correct format then the extra points will not count to your score.
Please additionally make sure that the review is linked correctly, and will take anyone clicking on it to your review and not just the book's description page.
Reading and recording our book of the month in any of the months that the challenge is active will also award you an extra 10 points (for April that book is: Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett) please indicate in your comment that you have read the months BOTM and record the points as a '+10.'
WHAT BOOKS COUNT?
Physical books (childrens, middle grade, YA, adult)
Ebooks;
Audio books - use the page count from the physical copy or e-copy if there is no physical. If there is no physical or e-copy them take however long the audiobook is and search what it would correspond to in a physical/ebook;
Fiction and non-fiction;
Graphic novels;
Short stories/novellas;
Essay collections.
RE-READS DO COUNT. IF YOU ALREADY REVIEWED IT WHEN YOU READ IT BEFORE, DO NOT USE THAT OLD REVIEW IN YOUR RECORDING.
FANFICTION WILL NOT COUNT. TRADITIONALLY PUBLISHED WORKS THAT USED TO BE FANFICTION DO COUNT
(e.g. manacled = no; alchemised = yes).
