I'm removing the previous comments because the claims made cannot be verified and we've had unwarranted smear campaings before. Also I'm not certain the poster actually knew the author since in the author bio he is referred to as "he/his", but the poster referred to "her". Besides you can't report someone for animal cruelty on Goodreads so that was an unhelpful suggestion, the police or your city council is the place for that.

Also for someone who thinks the author should be boycotted, I have to wonder why the poster knew the book was of poor quality? That presumes they read it which seems unlikely if they disliked the author so much.

If there can be clear explanation about why a book is bad other than just generic words like "cheap imitation" or "third class", then I encourage discussion, but if its just to give unhelpful negative non-constructive criticism, then this dicussion group is not the place for it. I noted that most of the books this author has written are Choose your Own Adventure types and to be fair those kinds of books aren't exactly known for their literary merits, they're just for fun ;)
